Luis Garcia how does he match up with Mcintosh and Bellew?

Post by Cotto16 »

Garcia looked good stopping nathan king in his last fight, the fight before king had taken tony jeffries to the wire. How does he match up against big mc and bellew? Heard garcia has done some sparring with carl froch and give carl some trouble

He was about 17lb heavier than Froch, did his best stuff and then hopped out of the ring before it got deep.

I heard him and the other Cubans have plenty of talent to burn, but are a bit lazy in the gym.

Looks good so far, but so did Tony Salam for a few rounds until he gassed out and was banged out by Fry.

that aint what I hear from people that were there.

Anyway Lee Beard seems to be working well with them at the moment. If he can motivate them they all (Garcia, Perez and Acosta) could be world champions.

I doubt it, hardly anyone was there except me and a couple of others.

Maybe your confusing it with the rumour that Tyson Fury beat the shit out of Perez before turning pro ?

I wasnt impressed with Garcia in his last fight against King. He looks like he has some raw talent alright and has a dig, but was very lethargic and relied heavily on landing his money punch. I didnt see too much technical skills in his work. Very pedestrian until he finally landed the big shot he was looking for.

Out of the three Cork based Cuban's I like Acosta the most - he has blistering hand speed - but not sure how good he is on the backfoot.

potential is not the same as proven class and cleverley and bellew are far above garcia in that regard. the best bout for british fans is cleverley v bellew and that should be a blinder.

Never heard that one, what's the story there? Seen a lot of Perez and i'd be very surprised if that was true.

The three cubans are on the one card in Cork next saturday,Garcia and acostia fighting people ranked above them and perez fighting a dangerous opponent also on card is prizefighter winner willie (big bang) casey plus Andy Murray looks like a good card, met their manager at Andy Lees last fight and this man has a good path mapped out for these three.

Good fighter is Luis Garcia, We had a right go at each other for 8 rounds.. Was great, Glenn was happy to see he got back as much as he give out for once, He said he was just hammering people up and down the country....

I'll be honest though I think Perez is the one to watch, I seen him as an am and the kid is terrific!! Serious I mean he could be special!! If he is dedicated then he's a definite for a world title without doubt!!

Bit small I thought, Perez I mean and not as slick as I expected either. Obviously as a Cuban heavyweight he is were the money will be.

But from what I saw, Acosta was the class fighter of the bunch. Footwork, aggression, hand speed - it was all there. I'd much rather watch him fight again.
