Got tickets, have we Macho?
Re: Haye VS Harrison set for 13 November??
Wembley or the Excel?? I thought the O2 was a certainty??? Couldn't be a football stadium in mid season...

You think they would go to a venue that only has half of the O2 though mate??? I think the MEN would be better as it would sell out and that's 20'000 like O2.....

Be a shame if such a London fight ended up in Manchester but then they are probably only concerned with PPV revenue so it wouldn't be surprising

PMSL. Docklands Arena. And what about Excel then, what would that do at full stretch?

It would be insane to have it anywhere other than The O2 or,as a last resort. The M.E.N.
You would think they would want it in London,to be honest

02 would be the obvious one, Haye being a Berm and Golden Boy being linked in with ENIC (think it's them), who have a big part of 02. Maybe the date is what's wrong?

Ta mate. Mmm. Not that smaller than the MEN then. Nothing against the MEN, but it would be nice to think an all-London fight could happen in London, follow up on the success of Mitchell at the Boleyn

It's an interesting fight, Haye is favourite, but it takes just one punch....And AH on his day is a dangerous puncher.

this is a bad bad move from haye..not financially ofcourse, but absolutely nobody will respect david haye now. he's 1 of my favourite fighters but won't be if he fights fraudley
Re: Haye VS Harrison set for 13 November??
I was really hoping this would take place at the O2 Arena as it's by far the best fight venue in the country. I actually really dislike fight being held at football stadiums as to get a decent view of the ring you have to shell out the best part of £500 and I doubt they could use a stadium in mid-November, unless they had it somewhere like Wembley which is surely too big for this fight. Surely they could be slightly flexible with the date.
I'm actually looking forward to the build up and press conferences more than the fight itself. Imagine the chat between them at the weigh-in. I can see the fight being a carbon copy of the Haye v Maccarinelli one with Harrison looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights before being brutally knocked out within 4 rounds.

British boxing doesn't need one capital Alba, it needs several - it's BRITISH boxing. Nothing against London fighters appearing elsewhere in the country at all, and vice versa, but an all-London fight belongs in London in my opinion.
Re: Haye VS Harrison set for 13 November??
With plenty of promotion and reasonable tickets, might they consider the Millenium Stadium?
MEN was full for Ruiz, this fight is much bigger in the UK surely.

I don't really care where it is, as I will no doubt be watching it for free at home
I like the fight, but not worth paying 15 quid for I tell you that.

I am in agreemnet with Jeff. Any boxing coverage in the nationals is good news, and this fight will be huge.MachoMan09 wrote:Exactly. Many 'boxing snobs' will be against this match but the public will lap it up. Rightly so. It will be a cracking event - one way or another.Jeff Thomas wrote:I should hate this fight, but I don't.
I would rather see David against a Klit; but you can't blame managemnet if he fights Harrison first.
Unfortunately given Audley's fair punch power and Haye's untested chin at heavy; aUDLEY HAS ACTUALLY GOT A CHANCE, WHICH MAKES IT WATCHABLE, although Harrison as heavy champ would be dreadful from every perspective.
I have to admit I will pay for it.

Re: Haye VS Harrison set for 13 November??
A Klitschko aside, does it really matter who Haye fights? Might as well be Audley in a big all-British clash. I'd prefer Adamek personally, but hey. There just aren't that many decent opponents around so Audley will get a shot at a Klitschko if Haye doesn't snap him up first, and if that happens he loses the only marketable opponent out there who isn't called Klitschko. Like reggae, I'd pay for it — and happily, bit of fun if nothing else. Certainly better than Haye vs anyone the Klitschkos have already beaten up.
On Cardiff as a venue, I think it only works for Welsh fighters, i.e. Calzaghe at the MS. It has a bad history for all-London heavyweight fights, Lewis-Bruno only did about 25,000 from what I remember — good crowd, don't get me wrong, but it might have done 40,000 in London, like Bruno-McCall. Lewis-Bruno was in the early hours, for American TV, and there would be no live American TV for Haye-Harrison, just isn't the interest in the US, so maybe they could get a bigger crowd. But as Macho says, the MS is already booked. I'm wondering whether this date is right, don't seem to be any of the major venues available on 13/11.

Re: Haye VS Harrison set for 13 November??
It's an interesting fight and one which will line the pockets of both men if we're honest.
Audley does 'have a chance', but in reality he don't if were being honest here.
Sprott banged him out, an overweight Williams out-spoiled him and Rogan the taxi driver out-fought him. Even the shot Ruiz we saw would beat all 3 of Audley's conquerors on the same night... and Audley too.
It could be an epic mismatch and such an embarrassing defeat for Audley that he leaves these shores. Audley is a nice bloke, but he really does talk up fights and then goes into his shell badly. Against Haye he will bob his pants... he certainly wont grow a huge set of balls overnight just for this fight, especially if he has been so terrified of journeymen.

Same night as Mayweather-Pacquiao? Can't seen the pay-per-view take being sliced up so many times.

Mayweather Vs Pac will not be PPV here BUT they can attach the PBF schooling of Pacman to the Haye Vs Harrison PPV in the UK.
