James "Bonecrusher" Smith a prison guard?

I was wondering if anyone knows if James "Bonecrusher" Smith was ever a prison guard, as I vaguely recall hearing something to that effect. It would make an interesting fight if he fought one of his ex-inmates.

I thought Hasim Rahman was a college grad? Or were Merchant and Lampley talking about his brother? I vaguely remember them saying something about college when he entered the ring against Tua a few years back. Somebody enlighten me.

Coul be that Rahman is a college graduate, it was a few years ago that I read that Smith was the only one.... and there have been some new champions since ofcourse

If Rahman is in fact a college grad.. then that would make him the first legitimate heavyweight champ ..to have graduated from college. "Crusher was just WBA titlist. Micheal Spinks was actually champion at that time

Rahman took some classes in community college, but he is not a graduate.
