What the fornicate is david haye playing at ??

Post by wiseman2007 »

He goes on about fighting the klitchko brothers. Then when he has a 50 50 split he does not take it ??. Now hes fighting a bum, who not a long time ago, lost to a taxi driver... He should be fighting guys like ademek, arreola, povekin and the klitchkos. I used to be a massive fan of his, but now I have lost nearly all respect for him!

I think you cant really blame Haye - he is doing what 99% of fighters do and cash in on fights he can win and make big money

He will fight a Klitschko - but towards the end of his career when his fortune has been made.

Same way Naseem Hamed only fought a young lion like Barrera towards the end of his career in his 36th fight - and he only had 37 fights in total.

Its his fans who deserve the blame here - I'm sorry but you do.

I keep hearing the same line.................."I use to be a David Haye fan but now.............."

Admit it - you were all mugs

You were duped

You believed Haye - and fell for his bogus persona of fighting Godzilla then He Man then Spiderman then Batman then he would knock out Superman.

And on top of that - he would fight them all in their own backyard for not much money.

Great - to believe in - you romantic soppy naive mugs.

I have never fallen into the David Haye love in they had over at ESB. I have always been realistic about him.

Good fighter - very heavy handed - but hardly this great messiah of heavyweight boxing who would fight both Klitshckos back to back in Germany for a small purse.

i admit i was naive about Haye and got sucked into the hype but a 'mug'...certainly not. Boxing is about money these days thanks to greedy promoters and if you can cash in against Audley then why not. I actually want Audley to win YET AGAIN. Yep people im another closet Harrison fan like a few of you are but wont admit it hahaha. And i hope Haye does fight a Klitschko even if he loses to Harrison. He just might opull it off. Boxings a funny old game. Who would have thought Hopkins would beat Pavlik after getting beat by Calzaghe. The mans had a mini revival. Just hope Audley does as well.

he hasn't hit any nail.

sky have probably been rubbing their sweaty palms together since audley won prize fighter and i believe it's part of their plan to cash out audley's name (which will also enhance haye's name).

a few months ago i'll bet haye never even saw this coming. and also, has he even accepted the fight with audley yet?

haye-audley will be a laugh if it happens. ppl should take easy. haye has made many mistakes by talking too much, but should we all have taken him so literally, given the absurd hype? he's still an exceptional fighter and is having a successful career and we shouldn't expect him to fight a klitschko on german soil right away, so matter whay hayemaker himself has said.

haye still is not the finished article, and it would be silly just to jump right in. he has a heavyweight title, a sky contract (PPV), he also promotes a fighter or two and is his own promoter to boot. what fighter with all that to lose/responsibility is going to gamble it all on one fight? let's grow up a bit eh, even if haye has done plenty or childish raving himself...

Wasn't it always?
What profession where you have a small window to earn a good wage and risk life and limb to do it isn't 'about money'?

Haye is 100pc right, of course he is. He'd be an idiot not to take this fight. He'll still fight a Klitschko down the line but he's right to do what he likes, it's a business after all.
Yes, he talked crap but he backed that up by toppling a 49-1 giant IN GERMANY.
I'm a fan of Haye's and feel he has breathed new life into that division. Cut him some slack, he deserves this pay day and admit it, you'll all watch it.

What happens if Valuev demands his rematch after Haye fights Audley? Then you have the mandatory (Chagaev?) who will be trying to force a title shot. Will we see the Haye-Klit fight anytime soon??

"As a boxing fan, I would hate to see David fight Audley," said Adam Booth, speaking at a London lunch yesterday in Haye's honour. "He's never boxed anyone in the top 40 and never produced in the ring...."

Booth obviously doesn't think many others share his good taste. Hopefully Sky remind him of this, during negotiations.

yeah - thats about the right forumla

£3 million to fight a Klitshcko and get hurt knocked out and lose his WBA status (which at the moment he is really milking making money out of on the dinner circuit)

Come have dinner with the Heavyweight Champion of the World !!!!

or

£1.75 million to fight Audely probaly win - probaly knock him out - and probaly still be WBA heavyweight champ at the end

milk some more money - with dinners etc

pick up some more decent paydays

and cash in with a £4.5 million payday down the line with the Klits - and when they are a bit older and slower - but Wlad is going to be around for a bit yet.

more commercial deals will follow IF he beats Audely

(I say IF because I am actually fancying Audely to KO him in a upset)

Sign a new deal with Adidas and Pepsi and Calvin Klein

Probaly make a pop record

and get a MBE from the Queen

all the usual trimmings of mega success

Haye is not fighting for glory - like all the Haye fans thought.

He is fighting for material comfort and fincial security - like most businessmen.

Yes he could cash in now with a Klitshcko fight and make big money

But what I feel is - Haye has quite liked his new status as WBA Heavyweight Champion and the new level of Celebrity and Fame it has given him

Its not just money

He dosent want to lose that Status - which of course he would if Wlad knocked him out.

The point is, Haye has called out the Klitschkos ad nauseum. Confronting Wlad in a mall, wearing that t-shirt. Signing to fight both but pulling out. After doing all of this, how can you be surprised that people are now criticising him for ducking the Klitschkos. And yes, he is ducking. Wlad had a 50:50 offer on the table which wasn't replied to.

Before you reply, I KNOW the business aspects and I KNOW that Haye can make more money collectively elsewhere. That is not my question. Haye talked so much garbage at the Klitschkos and on the strength of THAT, he is being widely criticized for ducking them.

haha least I don't go on saying I'm gonna be bigger then lennox lewis, like harrison does... I believed in haye, because of his performances.. Just seem's like he's taking the easy way out. Oh and just because you won some euro title of a faded tuff journeymen, does not give you the right to fight for a world title!!! I mean come on, we all know who is gonna win ffs.

Sooo basically! what most of you are saying is , David Haye is gonna get knocked out by the brothers! So why not milk his title and make as much money from us mugs! by fighting fighters who are as about as exciting as watching grass grow.. Hmm sorry it's just I thought David Haye was a great fighter and was capable of beating all the elites and making his money that way... But hey this is Britain :D fornicate silencing his critics once and for all. (dan rafeal is the worst) But ok! Thanks for enlightening me lads :TU:

Well i suppose it's like this, if he beats Audley now, earns a shilling and then moves up, loses against Klit...

...it's better than losin against Klit and then being seen to come back down to fight Audley aint it ?

I think Haye is doing Audley a bit of a favour and making a quid himself really.

Again, it makes a lot of sense from a business perspective, nobody will disagree with what you have written.

BUT it's the fact that Haye did so much sh*ttalking and then ducked the Klitschkos that people are criticizing him for.

Valuev has lost the option of calling in the rematch clause. It had a time limit on it and Goldenboy heard nothing from Team Valuev.

At least, we won't be subjected to that again. :D

Wlad has signed to fight Povetkin - I read.

So obviously Wlad has to take care of his Mandatory. That leaves Vitali who could possibly fight Valuev.

Haye has time for a voluntary as Ruiz was his last one.

Audley is a voluntary defence that makes money and attracts casual fans while on paper being an easy fight.

The question is how did Audley get a ranking? He won the European belt against Michael Sprott - which brings an automatic ranking with some organisations.

Does Audley deserve a shot - NO. Will he talk alot and hype the fight - YES.

Will he get brutally KO'd - YES.

The reason it's happening is far deeper.

Barry Hearn is the promoter of Audley Harrison. Hearn brings quite alot of sport to SKY TV (who have deep pockets) including Darts and Prizefighter. I believe its the relationship between Sky and Hearn that is pushing for this Haye vs Harrison fight. Hearn knows Audley can not be relied apon to keep winning for too long, so would rather cash in now rather than go via a Dimitchenko European title fight. (Which Audley would be underdog or 50/50)

From Sky's point of view it makes sense financially and its one more fight before Haye fights a Klitschko (80% of fans think Haye will lose). Sky and Hearn sell the British public the fight and I believe it will be a money spinner. Haye and Harrison are known to the casual fan and while hardcore fans will complain - a good few will watch just to see Audley sparked out. (Or Haye). The fight would likely sell out a 20,000 seat arena at least and Hearn will have his hand in the promotion.

Already, its been mentioned that different promoters have options on Haye - Sauerland (possibly King) but definitely Goldenboy. Sauerland/King is for 3 fights - John Ruiz was one. Haye and Goldenboy may prefer for him to get Harrison and say Chagaev out of the way before the blockbuster fight against a Klitschko or both so that when a Klitschko fight happens the fingers of Sauerland and King are no longer in the pie.
