GBP is goin' to 'L this week.

We can only fight fighters with a last name that begins with L. This was voted on by the board of directors so don't blame me.

We are officially pulling Bass out of the million dollar affair, as we have been notified that corruption abounds, and we will simply have none of it. And even more important, his opponents name DOES NOT begin with the letter L. IF he changes his name to Jem Lriscoll we would then reinstate the fight. There is no other acceptable alternative.

So assuming Jem will not be reasonable and do the right thing, Bass will face Jorge Linares who's name begins with the required letter.
Nelson will face Jason Litzau. Also a fighter from 'L.

Saldivar MUST face a fighter of his choosing in order to continue to hold the only title who's lineage can be traced back to "the man who beat the undefeated man". Which at the end of the day, is the only title that matters.

If Bass agreed to be ''in'' then he is in. Just because you've realised he is the group whipping boy you withdraw him?

No corruption outside of your ranks is my view. The commish should enforce all fighters who agreed to the tournament to participate. You are trying to disgrace a respectable historic event.

You agreed to join so take your fights pussy

No, eff that. He is blackballed from the tournament. Bobby Chacon will take his place.
I don't think anyone should be allowed to leave the tournament once they've entered.

I am willing place control of Kevin Kelly in the hands of the commish for the next 3 to 6 weeks as a commitment to the tournament :TU:

If we all do this we wont get any more bullshit withdrawals :DDD

Everyone should just drop out now, to save themselves the embarrassment of getting KO'd by "Mr. Undefeated" Jhonny G.

No, I have been adament since the beginning that anyone can drop out of the tournament any time they wish. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem when they act like a total bitch about it.
Well what will you do if 4 or 5 fighters withdraw whilst the group stage is running or 1 of the winning semifinalists doesn't fancy his opponent?

Your allowing it fail. I hope everyone respects the tournament, but your saying they don't have to if they don't want

This is shameful Boxbuzz, real shameful.

I just mean that I will have you listed as a back up, in case somebody does end up dropping out. There are a few others who are backups as well. The tournament is full at the moment.

The first fighter of our choosing is the one lunged miracle man Nel Tarleton. Which fortunately coincides with the draw of the tourney.

Fist of Legend wrote:Juan Manuel Marquez vs 3k Battery

George Dixon will accept Johnny Kilbane's challenge

sorry Sock, Marquez can't even beat the likes of Steve Robinson or 3k battery and has lost 4 in a row, Armstong might put him in an early grave so I have to look out for the saftey of my fighter...Seriously who would've predicted that Rafael Marquez would be beating the likes of Willie Pep and Juan Manuel can't even go 6 rounds with Steve Robinson.
No worries, since this wouldn't have been for a title, Hank would have won easily, me thinks. He is 0-3 in world title fights, however, so if JMM gets a trinket you should call out Henry on the double to ensure a win.

Well then, who wants Henry Armstrong? Crease? Any of your fighters open? :D

Seriously, though, first call out gets him.

Armstrong's backup will be Ben Jordan.

The problem with Armstrong is that as soon as the bell rings he starts out and out blatantly hitting his opponent. And no one seems to want to call him on it.
