Apparently Chavez jr 'n' Duddy are fighting for this...........wtf is it, some sort of interim belt, a class B world champion, damn this sport, lol, sorry if this as already been discussed, not bin on here in a while

The WBC have brought it in mate as a final eliminator for the World title.
I think this was all set up at the time when they had no idea what Martinez was doing.
Now we know Martinez is keeping the Middleweight strap the winner of this will get mandatory status.
I think they're considering doing this at other weight divisions.
Having said they could simply have given their International belt the same status.
You're right as a belt it means nowt really - but it does lead to other things.
