I agree that comparing Ali's stance against the Vietnam war and Small's stance is like comparing chalk and cheese. Like someone said earlier, there is a time and a place for demonstrating against the war and this wasn't it. As for your point about the allegations of the Taliban hanging the 7 year old boy, if it is true it is a crime against humanity and a crime against Islam. There are no doubts that a 7 year old boy was killed, but there have been several different rumours about who did the killing and why it was done. Whoever did it, it was a shameful act of worst kind but we must also remember that thousands of innocent children have been killed by the allied forces in both Aghanistan and Iraq. The way they were killed may be different but the end result is the same so it may not be right to put so much emphasis on the death of one child and ignore the thousands. Regarding Small's statement that "Muslims are one and stand as one". I don't know him personally but this statement doesn't necessarily mean he is with the people that committed those terrorist acts. if any Muslim wilfully kills innocent people like in 7/7 etc. then they fall out of the folds of Islam and are no longer considered Muslims until they openly repent. I find it difficult to imagine that Small's recent behaviour would be the "final straw" that makes someone decide to support the BNP. It was a minor protest that didn't seem very threatening, almost a non-event.

Please read the posts and try to understand what is being said instead of just reading two words and then making up the rest from the top of your own head. Firstly no one has said anything about accidental killing of children and secondly no one has said the killings of children by soldiers "shouldn't be thought of differently" to the execution of a child. The idea was to keep everything in context and not put a huge amount of emphasis on type of alleged killing and nothing on the other. How many wedding parties have been bombed by our forces? Wedding parties with women and children. The first one may have been an accident but not necessarily the next dozen; one after another almost a weekly occurrence. The allied forces know pretty well that the majority of participants in wedding parties are women and children yet they call it collateral damage. They are not as deliberate as the alleged execution of a child because they do not specifically target children but by no means are they accidental! As for your ludicrous comment about why Small didn't protest against Saddam when he used chemicals against his own people; the fact that he was only 7 years old at the time might have something to do with it! I am not going to defend Small because if he can take part in those protests then he can go ahead and defend himself but please try and keep it real.

Firstly, I don't know why people think Religion and Science are exclusive from each other. Many scientists themselves have taken inspiration from the Quran.
