Okay we are getting closer. Anybody want to show support for their fighter.
Re: 2010 U.S. Championships - Early Picks to take the tournament
Waiting to see who receives the At Large and Independent slots by USA Boxing. It would be nice if that info was posted on the USAB website. I will say that I expect that at least one or two champs will come from the Region 5 area (not just the regional team, but all boxers who box out of that are including the At Large boxers, Independent boxers, Returning Champions, and the NMU team). With all of those excellent boxers, it would be almost impossible not to win at least ONE national title.
The Region 5 area boxers include several former USA Nat'l & NGG champs and even a couple of Olympians.

I agree Dennis. Region 5 puts up some well skilled fighters. Some of the best.

2010 U.S. Championships - Picks to take the tournament
sure shots in Bold
108 lbs: Diego Hurtado, Sparks, Nev. - Past Olympic Trial Champion beats everyone easy as he makes an early statement he is 2012 USA Team Member.
114 lbs: Rau’shee Warren, Cincinnati, Ohio - Making statement as well he is 2012 USA Team member for the 3rd time.
123 lbs: Victor Pasillas, Los Angeles, Calif. - He needs some improving but Victor's time is coming.
132 lbs: Raynell Williams, Cleveland, Ohio -Can make his statement as well he is a Two Timer & 2012 USA Team Member.
141 lbs: Pedro Sosa, Bronx, N.Y. - Pedro needs to put things together and he takes tournament.
152 lbs: Anthony Flores, Ingle, Calif. - Lot of So. Cal. family behind him. Let's see if he gets it done.
165 lbs: Terrell Gausha, Cleveland, Ohio - Well most likely wins this year again.
178 lbs: Robert Brant, Oakdale, Minn. - Robert is the man until he is not. Need to watchout by PAL many newcomers coming out and up to take this spot.
201 lbs: Jordan Shimmell, Hudsonville, Mich. - Improving and hungry coming short from Golden Gloves. This is the Tournament to shine.
201+ lbs: Lenroy Thompson, Lenexa, Kansas - good hustling get this winner a National Title. Javier will be there to take if Lenroy doesnt want enough.

Re: 2010 U.S. Championships - Early Picks to take the tournament
108) Louie Byrd - Diego and Santos are 1-1 against each other, Byrd tore Vasquez up at NGG
114) Rau'shee Warren - Young biggest competition, Lopez too/Magdeleno could if he moves down to 114
123) Roman Morales - Healthy again and at a correct weight where he can do damage; Toka maybe
132) Duran Caferro - Jose Ramirez is young, could take it, he beat Damon Allen last year but I'll stick with Caferro
141) George Rincon - Toss up: Conley, Ramos, Easter maybe; Up for grabs
152) Errol Spence - I don't see anybody taking him out, Martin, Vasquez, Grayton maybe but I don't think so
165) Terrell Gausha - Hart, Arias, or Gauhsa so I'll stick with last years winner
178) Dorian Anthony - At first I had Jerry Odom, but the veteran is entering this tournament and should win it
201) Jordan Shimmell - Anyone can win it as it is the toughest 201 division I've ever seen so I'm going to stick with the 2009 winner
201+)Lenroy Thompson - Morban or Torres could win it but can't see them outpointing Thompson
114) Rau'shee Warren - Young biggest competition, Lopez too/Magdeleno could if he moves down to 114
123) Roman Morales - Healthy again and at a correct weight where he can do damage; Toka maybe

Teasy Good picks!
108 - Louie, Santos, Diego. May the best man win.
114 - Raushee has this hands down. Raushee is great at dieting and does what it takes to be champ. He has it but cant get lazy with the 3 min rounds either.
123 - Jesus but yes many wondering if he is dropping to 114.
132 - I have raynell. He has had a few ups and downs but I feel will clean up here. You pick of Duran...well who can argrue that. May the best man win.
165 - Guasha has this i agree with you but many I talk with like Hart.
201+ Lenroy I agree with you.
other wieghts are tough for me to pick clear winners but as a big fan I wish everyone great luck. I wont make it there to watch but will enjoy watching videos that get post on youtube.

Last year Hart was winning in the finals against Gausha but got DQ'd when he should not have. The ref decided to focus on Hart when Gausha did the same stuff which was holding. I like Hart in a rematch.

If the bracket draws right, I see errol, chris P, Leandre White, and david grayton in the semi finals.
White, Grayton and Spence was all in the semi's at the national golden golden gloves.
Them 4 is top 152 pounders there to me. I hope they dont bumb each other out
