NABA eliminator offer

Post by JDC »

After Johnny Kilbane failed to agree terms on his first defense this week we openly invite all unranked eligible fighters to participate in an eliminator series to determine Kilbanes first mandatory.

Kilbane has stuggled against the world level challengers, and he wishes to be given time to consolidate a ranking before trying again for major glory :box:

We understand that this could be very dangerous for Kilbanes chances, but we feel it is fair to offer fighters who may never get a serious title this opportunity.

This is not to be confused with The Million Dollar Tournament. We would like 2, 4 or 8 fighters to be interested for a straight eliminator series. :TU:

Anyone willing to enter please express an interest below

Fighters

Battalino - In

Reserves

Kelly - (final reserve, we only be involved to make up the numbers if he has exited TMDT)

a fighter will become a reserve if he is currently in TMDT, but will be barred if he ducks from TMDT. Reserve places added on a first come first serve bases and it is quite likely that some reserves will be need to fill the eliminators. If reserves are need the eliminators will run after TMDT group conclusion and will allow fighters who didn't get through their group to enter

Will this start after game week 14? If so, count Battalino in.

If it fills next week it will run next week, but I don't mind waiting another week if alot of interest comes in from fighters in the tournament.

However, preference will be given to fighters who weren't involved in the tourny. Trying to spread the love arround :DDD

And to be honest there should not be a competition for a title as unworty as this.

At Least the main tournament was for the WBO title...

That's a fair point Hitman, but I certainly wouldn't be requesting that managers contest for a Regional Title Shot. :shame:

I do actually agree with you on this one, but you've spend far too much time recently knocking what other people are doing and too little doing things yourself. You've made a step in the right direction this week though. :TU:

I could duck and hold on to it all year.

I don't want to do that. The fights legitamise the title and this is a fair way of giving everyone a crack at something :TU:

You could... But the stick you would get would be shocking... That, plus the fact that the Commish would probably warn you about defending the title and eventually strip you of it.

Why not do it the old fashioned way - pick a decent challenger, offer them a title shot and do it!

(Castillo would be interested by the way :TU: )

I have messaged a manager about a very interesting fight which, should he accept will happen the week of the final eliminator. The two winners would then face off. :TU:

That fight is not for now. Your treatment of Famechon is fresh in our memory

Famechon is an alright fighter... Okay he won't be remembered as one of the top guys, but him and Castillo had a good fight in the first week.
Do you not remember?

And matey, I got some scrutiny for fighting your boxer... Apparently:
"All the guys Crease beats are bums"...

But I didn't say that matey. :)

We understand that you didn't give Ray a rematch because you were under pressure from the conglomerates to show you were fighting tough opposition. However Famechon lost out because of this. We too have to live by the rules of boxing politics and ensure our fighters have confidence that the management will get them a fair shot. You will get your fight before the seasons out, now STFU

The NABA belt has again propelled a fighter to world level. First Armstrong and now Kilbane has a chance.

Continuing on his world tour this week Kilbane will fight Eder Jofre in a non title fight at a random venue yet to be decided. Should he win he will return to fight #1 ranked Rafa Marquez next week. :box:

Battalino, as the only applicant so far, will be offered an NABA eliminator next week if Jofre manages to defeat Kilbane. Benny Bass is encouraged to redeem himself by calling out Battalino for an NABA eliminator should Kilbane fall against Jofre.

However other applicants are welcome

In fairness though, Armstrong was one of the strogner fighters in this seasons BRS.

If both fighters weigh under the limit, And it is a 12 round fight
You may find, If you lose the Fight by KO you will be stripped of the Belt regardless if its a defence or not. Thems are the rules for a lot of Regional belts.

Jofre doen't have the power to stop Kilbane. I don't think the commish said that about the belt, we are willing to accept any ruling. In the unlikely event that he does I would suggest the applicants fight for the vacent title.
