Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Larry looked really good tonight. Was calm and setting his work up with the jab.

Larry looked fornicating good while it lasted! Nowhere near as raw as the last fight! Congrats Larry! ![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)

Be good if Dallas can stop Peret!
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
fury needs to get a proper trainer - his style of fighting is awful for a pro he has no defense - he has the ability but needs better conditioning and some professional training.
He's done well on raw ability and the level of training he's had but if he wants to step it up again he needs work on his composure, defense, and accuracy.
He needs a proper training camp and a good professional trainer.
But he could do well.

Power from Price!
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Lot of fat boys fighting tonight......
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Good learning fight that for Price.............................
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Shot behind the head...
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
That's the thing with Pricey... he bombs someone out in 1, it's a meaningless fight... or he'll stroll to a points victory and get criticised!
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Was not criticising Price, not his fault.
Feel a bit for him actually

Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
When did John Fury fight for the English title. I thought the first English champion was Matt Skelton?
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Price's opponent had actually been rounds with some decent names, so a first round KO is a very good result. I wonder if Maloney could find some opponents who were not so cosmetically underwhelming. It is hard for most people to be impressed with a KO over a short and morbidly obese opponent, even if they are much better than their physical appearance would suggest.

they had fans in there (not just people i mean air-moving fans lol) it was not 'hot' per se although it is obviously warmer for those fighting and under the lightsFatsam wrote:Wasn't it the hottest or one of the hottest days of the year today ?, decent scrap anyway even though i lost 20quid.

Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
i didnt see it did he win on points?
Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Fury won by stoppage in round 9. He dominated the first five, but than started to tire immensely and was holding so much that he was docked a point. It really looked like the fight was slipping from him, but than out of nowhere McD fell apart and got dropped by weak shots in round eight and twice in round nine.Adamj1987 wrote:i didnt see it did he win on points?

I think he'd take Fury, maybe even Del Boy, he's really strong and heavy handed.leforge wrote:Well done larry! He looked good think he would beat mcdermott now!

I thought that too, not just his stamina, but his conditioning looked bad too he could easily shed 2 stone. He needs to look at the Klits and aim for that.mickey1975 wrote:I cant believe how unfit Fury was. He's 22 ffs.

Re: Fury- McDermott RBR
Fury claimed that his father fought Henry Akinwande for a title in the interview, when it was a humble eight-rounder. Fury deserves a little poetic licence.
