Hmmm, could have a Saldivar - Olivares rematch in the second round.

One of them has to lose first. Otherwise it's not possible till the final?

Could happen without either losing a fight

Pedroza needs to win and hope Olivares doesn't lose to Johnny G to make it through. If he does, Saldivar (assuming he beats Vasquez) awaits him in the second round.

A meaningless fight if there ever was one, but nonetheless, could be the best fight of the season so far. :TU:

Good luck, Vazquez is bringing his big guns for this one. :OhYes:
Meaningless? The Ring title, WBO/IBF Lineal titles and an easier fight in the next round are the winner's rewards. I'd have said it was quite meaningful.

Chacon has to be favourite against Griffo... he only beat him 3 or 4 fights ago.

Yeah, but it was a close fight, and I think Griffo put him down. Chacon has been down a lot lately.

Regarding the tournament... whoever wins our fight has a good chance of making the final.

Keep dreaming.
Well, Saldivar made short work of Olivares last time, and should have no trouble with Griffo, so he should make it, while Pedroza has a decent shot against Vasquez if he avoids getting KOed, and has an OK chance against Pep or Driscoll.

You'll only face Griffo in the final.
