I’m not sure I approve of the grub going on, over here it would be equal because you can’t say anything else.
Can Tyson Fury beat Chisora/Sexton/Dimitrenko & a dethroned Vitali back to back?

Re: Tyson Fury
With due respect if you think he has a hope at achieving anything like that you need your head read. He's mediocure at best. I know he's young etc and showed heart but he's not very talented. David Price will KO Luke in a couple of rounds. He has zero chance at doing anything on the world scene. If he does i'll pack my Boxing journalism in.
Re: Tyson Fury
Well there’s no need to do that, but for your circumstance that maybe the case.
Are you talking about the guy who struggled more with Daniel Peret?
Tyson Fury has been a pro for 1 and a half years...
Derek Chisora has been a pro for 3 and a half years...
The younger you are the less time you need (Amir Khan)
The older you are the more time you need (Audley Harrison)

What relevance does that have?
Audley Harrison = Olympic Gold Medallist.
Amir Khan = Olympic Gold Medallist.
Tyson Fury = Fat bloke with inadvisable hair-do. Though I do give you that he's got more nuts than Audley. Just about a twentieth the natural talent (or power, come to that).
Re: Tyson Fury
There’s no answer for that... it’s stupidity.

Tyson Fury went from being a junior to winning the 2008 ABA Super Heavyweight Title.

Re: Tyson Fury
You have to take into account that since 2008 he has had 11 professional fights in 18 months, but also during this time he has two injury layoffs with hand and back injuries which is why he has not fought more often (say another 2 or 3 fights) because we all know when you have a good young Prospect in your books the main aim to to get him fighting as often as possible to give the rounds and experience that they need when they decide to join the paid ranks. Oh by the way Datsue Khan was a Silver Medalist, not a gold medalist. He lost in the final to Mario Kindelian if my memory serves me correctly.
As for Fury, I think the guy has actually got something, he has good reach a strong jab and is very good body puncher as demonstrated against Scott Belshaw and Bela Gyongosi. But he does need to work on his conditioning because he will end up turning into a British Chris Arreola with as he weighed at 19 stone 4lbs. I think he would be best at around 17 stone 10 and 17 stone 12. So it will give him better movement while still retaining his punching power.

I didn't know Fury had much punching power?IRLangmaid25 wrote:You have to take into account that since 2008 he has had 11 professional fights in 18 months, but also during this time he has two injury layoffs with hand and back injuries which is why he has not fought more often (say another 2 or 3 fights) because we all know when you have a good young Prospect in your books the main aim to to get him fighting as often as possible to give the rounds and experience that they need when they decide to join the paid ranks. Fury is overrated, largely to do with his promotional team (can't blame them all the same). Yes he's young, but there's not much there to say he'll amount to anything spectacular. He'll get found out as soon as he steps up.
Re: Tyson Fury
Fury fought McDermott after only 9 months as a pro, that’s like... McWilliams Arroyo fighting someone like Ivan Calderon in December.
Re: Tyson Fury
There’s... no mention of Harrison vs. Fury.
Is this the grub talk of the British Forum? This thread got moved from Current.

Re: Tyson Fury
I know it was hot in the ring but Tyson does have a stamina problem. I dont think he will go further than British and he might not even achieve that. I believe Larry could beat him and I know Chisora can.

I've forgotten more about Boxing than you'll ever know. It's obvious you know nothing about Boxing and are nothing but a trol from your posts.Mic wrote:Well there’s no need to do that, but for your circumstance that maybe the case.

This is crazy Calderon is a hall of fame type of fighter whereas McDermott has achieved what do deserve such an illustrious comparision???

Khan was silver medalist and Fury has had a decent amature career .

Re: Tyson Fury
Can't see Fury going much further tbh - conditioning can be improved but can his lack of core/physical/arm strength be to the degree needed to make an impact even on the top British scene. Chisora would walk right though him, Audley would be too accurate and pick him apart. He has courage and heart though I'll give him that.
