Fury vs Chisora, who wins?

Post by markp »

This could be happening next.

It would likely be over 12 rounds. Chisora is a tough fighter and is in decent condition. He throws hard punches and is the british champion. Fury is a hard puncher himself and will have big height and reach advantages. He has proven his heart, although I think when the going really gets tough against a better fighter than McDermott, he might quit.

All in all, this fight is a competitive contest. Both seem to have heart and desire. Chisora doesn't look like he does anything exceptionally but he is a solid all rounder. He has never been beyond 8 rounds and his chin has never been tested, as it will be in this fight.

I think you have to take Chisora to win the fight though. I wonder how he would respond to going 4-5 rounds down on the cards though at the start of the fight.

It wont happen next but Chisora would win easy if it did.Lets not overate McDermott in all this, hes a contender and has seen better days.I actually dont think Fury has too long left in the sport, his dedication is obviously not very good and I dont think he will bounce back when the inevitable defeat comes. He could change with a different attitude but i cant see it happening.

Chisora withs by stoppage...

Fury really isnt going to win the british and too be honest if he sticks to saying 'am chucking it if i dont win' he may have a new job this time next year.... Last night looked like too Rugby players fighting after their awards night, really was awful... Chisora stopped (albeit done) Danny Williams but looked decent in doing it.. I dont have got a problem with Fury but if he wants to suceed in the sport he need to get back down the gym, get to a decent weight and spend months jabing a bag and moving his feet.... Someone his hight and weight can have potential in the sport but has to be trained well and he needs to be willing to learn...

At this stage of their careers I'd pick Chisora. In my opinion Fury needs another 12-18 months hard work before challenging for the British title.

Think Fury might sidestep this fight as might be to early and too damaging to lose his '0'

If Fury gets the right trainer and gets himself in the right condition in my opinion he would easily beat Chisora.

If they were to fight in the few months Id have to say Chisora, but I do think Fury has a better raw talent

Right now, it would be a good fight but I think Del Boy would take it by a late-ish stoppage. I just can't see it happening in the near future though.

I'm amazed people are making out like Chisora is some seasoned veteran with proven excellent stamina. Lets get it right here, he has never been past 8 rounds at any kind of a pace, and has not been put in one of those fights where it doesn't go all his way, like Fury has been in his 2 fights with McDermott.

It's an intriguing fight and I'm very interested to see how Chisora reacts to actually being whacked by a big guy. I aint saying Fury hits like a steam train but his size will pose problems.

Completely agree. Chisora doesn't bring any power to the fight either. Fury does need to have a proper training camp for this fight though.

All of this is true to an extent... Fury did have the right trainer you could see in the first two rounds or so that he had learnt from the first fight... then he just discarded it all. IMO his mindset (which is his to fix/improve) is the most urgent thing. He has lots of bad habits

I'd pick Chisora to beat him if they fought now.

Fury needs alot of sparring - he always looks like he's scared of getting hit - when punches start coming towards him he sticks his hands out, closes his eyes, leans back and hopes for the best.

The guy really needs to get some serious training done, alot more sparring (it cant be that hard to get a sparring partner), and most of all he needs to get a good trainer. What about Enzo Calzaghe - or he could try and sign hatton promotions they'll hook him up.

if you want to see how rubbish mcdermot is...look at how he was blasted out by Nic Popov in 2.....outworked by the cruiser krence.... failed to beat the totally shot williams over 24 rounds.....and was thrown around like a rag doll by skelton in 1

to suggest this win over mcdermot (in the second attempt ) makes Primo Fisting a contender is , frankly, silly

chisora is b class and would stop him inside 5 without much effort.
