Congrats Larry, great KO against a usually tough cookie in Ferguson. I think Peret again would be a step back, he just comes to survive and spoil, you need to keep going in with real tests now such as Ferguson level guys for next few fights. Those guys with more quality will give you the experrience you need, Peret is just a big hairy pain in the arse and I don't think you'd learn anything by getting back in with him!

well obviously he never just came to survibe and spoil last time he fought larry. and larry needs rounds so what harm would it do him fighting him? obviously hes not the dearest lad to bring over so makes sense financially it would give him some much needed rounds to practice all he has learned in the gym aswell as laying a few demons to rest
True actually, my comment about him coming to survive wasn't really right, what I meant to say really is he's just a pain in the arse, swings a lot, grapples a lot. Maybe there is SOME value in a rematch, I just think there are more exciting and better matches to be made for Larry now if they want to.

Personally I think you need to beat Peret Larry. He should never have beat you in a million years, but thats a horrendous loss like mine to Baz Carey, and if I were you next fight get that one squared away, I beat Carl Allen and Danny Thorpe who both well beat Carey and Kristian Laight who drew with him, but its still a monkey on my back. He'll still give you a fair fight over six too. I'm sure you'd fare far better in the rematch.

Larry you're really developing and improving. You're a credit to the sport and its refreshing and entertaining to follow your career. I really like how you go at your opponents - its clear - as you said in the interview afterwards - that you're well aware of your power. Its going to be interesting to see how far you can go.

Would love to see you face McDermott next.

Best of luck Larry :TU:

Peret wasn't overawed by Larry and showed up larrys technical deficiencies. Until the rematch, I will still point at that fight to distinguish Larrys level. Is that fair? I think so. He bombed a few lads out, who were there for the payday and nothing else. We knew he could bomb lads like that out. The question mark is his actual ability and skill in a long fight, which we saw against paret. Since then, we haven't seen it since.

larry will easily win rematch. Larry was not in best shape for first fight. Dave fergusson was a good opponent he blasted him out easily!

Larry is a whole lot of fun thats for sure, I'm not sure Larry is the next Mike Tyson, but he fits nicely into a james Oyebola type postion as a proper dangerman. Whats his am pedigree?

was very impressed with larry like macho man ive criticised larry's boxing ability & rightly so, but on this occasion in the short time it lasted, massive improvement. more relaxed, not rushing in & looking were he was punching & is beginning to look more polished. spoke well afterwards, gee'ing up cook & rightly so, the man knows the game as good as any.
as for peret it's not a step forward & wasnt really damaging the L plates are nearlly coming off & it's onwards & upwards 4 larry it's really good too see him improve as he never had the am pedigree & is learning in the hardest place in the pro's unlike other established fighters. larry is a gent & hope he continues to progress as it's influential to alot of people who think they are too old, well done larry :TU: i think the outlaw nickname is better suited :D

Well at least you do not have to deal with all the bollocks that comes with the '0' tag, plus you learn more from a loss.

Should rematch Peret! The loss looks worse every subsequnt fight you see Peret in so he should be asking Maloney to sort it out

All this talk of his moved on etc. Until he gets to bonifide British title level he has not moved on from the likes of Peret

Impressive result and with the sort of power Larry carries an Southern Area or English title shot should be next up. Carl Baker, John McDermott or Chris Burton maybe for an English title ?

Needs some solid 8 rounders now to start preparing him for championship bouts.

Larrys got the PPPPOOOOOWWWEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!

I know it was only a brief outing, but Larry looked more composed than normal IMO. His defence looked tighter and he wasn't leaving himself so open when he was throwing his punches. BIG improvement. If Larry proves to have a good 12 round engine and a solid chin then he's gonna be lethal, I don't see anyone rushing to get in the ring with him.

I'm loving the British HW scene at the moment and Larry will give all of them a rough nights work IMO

No way Towers destroys Larry. Towers is a huge man with decent speed, but aside from these attributes there is nothing impressive about him. Larry is often criticized for his technical shortcomings but Towers is not much better in that area. Larry has also beaten a higher level of opposition and continues to gradually step up in class. He showed some improvements in his most recent bout and will probably keep getting better.

Towers might beat him but he wouldn't tear him apart. Towers has fought one opponent with a winning record and I don't see him beating Larry in the same way he has defeated his last six opponents.
