Great photos Frank :TU:

while you guys where on the CBHOF banquet, I was at a biker party. My brother rides for a local club and every summer they arrange a party and invite other clubs local and foreign, this year about 1000 bikers attended the party wich was held in an old rock quarry.
Every year go out there and work for free , this year at the barbeeque, I must have flipped 1000+ hamburgers

anyways later in the evening they had a few bands playing, one of the bands was a German Rockabilly band wich put on a fantastic show, especially the lead singer(shes also the drummer) . A young girl who put on the best live performances i have ever seen .
Her stage presence gave me the same feeling i get watching Sugar Ray Robinson, awe and wonder.

It made me think that there are many similaritys between great musicians and great fighters.

Im convinced i witnessed greatness in the making this weekend

We had a great time Brian. Rick got his well deserved honor. I can't wait until November.

Ditto!
How is Roger?
:TU: It was great having Roger and several of our CAWCB team together. Dan, Brian, Bruce, Bennie, Paul, Charlie & Panzarfaust, I wish you could have joined us. It wasn't until I left I realized that I hadn't gotten around the room to visit as I usually do. It was great meeting Tom Ray, who gave a great talk on behalf of Sean O'Grady. As I mentioned once before, the CBHOF event has a warmth that you will not find at other boxing events. It really has the feeling of a big family.

The Sportsmens lodge.
I remember Rick posting awhile back about the place.
It sounds like a great spot for the venue.
Rick, was Sportsmens gonna be shut down at one point?
Did it get repairs that were needed? I seem to recall us discussing it a year or so ago.
Places like this need to be kept around.

Brian . . . The Lodge was my watering hole until the restaurant, bar and events rooms were closed on New Years day 2009.
The Lodge consistes of a nice hotel, as well, but the Hotel ownership differs from the owner of the other business. The bar was once a hot place in the Valley, lots of actors would stop by after finishing work at the nearby CBS Studio Center. It wasn't unusual to see Bob Conrad, Lee Majors and Burt Reynolds in the bar during the late 60's. In those days, Reynolds was working on Gunsmoke, playing a blacksmith. Conrad was James West of the Wild, Wild, West, and Majors starred in the Big Valley. All were filmed at CBS. Before closing, the trendy crowd of the 60's was still filling the Lodge's bar on weekends, however, as the venue had aged, so had it's customers. No longer were they trendy, just older. Those who once were young, making money and spending it freely were now retirement age, on fixed incomes, etc. The place had been losing money for sometime, when it wa sold off to a development group, which refurbished the event center beautifully. The bar has been closed for more than 18 months, and won't reopen for awhile. The CBHOF event is one of the first booked in the facility, and everything was perfect. One of my guests was a young actress, Cristina Sasso, who worked as a bartender at the Lodge before it closed. You are right Brian, it is the perfect venue. The Food was great, the event well timed, Don Fraser and Frank did a great job once again.

Okay guys, I got the first video of the CBHOF up and running. This is strictly video shot from my camera. All things considered it didn't come out to bad. I got both Rick and Tom at the podium. During the week I'll get started on the photo montage video. I'll include any photos that you upload Frank.
