Didn't Claude Durden and Ray Lampkin fight one another in 1976 with Ray winning by KO? Perhaps it was the fight just before Ray lost to Randy Shields and called it a career. Also, I remember Claude being matched against a hispanic guy (whose name I can't recall) with a perfect 12-0 record at the LA Olympic Auditorium. The guy had been inactive for awhile and slowly ran out of gas. Claude came roaring back and knocked the guy out. That fight isn't reflected on his record.

I see it now
Well the fighter database just keeps getting better and better and it now shows the Claude Durdan vs Ray Lampkin fight that I was sure was missing the last time I logged on to this forum. So that takes care of that. It also now shows Durdan's KO in 4 rounds of a fighter named "Antonio Gin" in August of 1975. The database only shows that guy as having 2 fights and I seem to remember the fight commentator announcing the guy as coming into the Durdan fight with a perfect 12-0 record. Of cource that could have been hype that was thrown in there to build the guy up. It'll be interesting to see if the 12 fights ever show up.
As a note, my cousin "Miguel Orona" is in the database and he was originally listed about a year ago as having only 7 fights. The database now shows 15 fights which is closer to the truth. So the database keeps marching on with input from normal everyday people around the world who want to see it improve. Cool.
