Of course Audley doesn't deserve a shot and I am dissapointed that Haye hasn't went straight after a Klit in a unification bout. However IF the pbf pacman fight is made and on the same ppv bill then that would make me very happy, I would not pay for Haye Audley alone.

That was a gamble, and after a massive promotional push based on Valuev's freakish size,it paid off.I cant see him getting near those figures again except for Harrison or either Klitschko.DavidPayne wrote:Last bits wrong, FW wouldn't have negotiated a PPV led purse for Valuev that probably trebled his income for the bout.
Haye knows how to earn.

I love the fact that the biggest crime possible on the boxrec forums, is promoting a fight that people actually want too see.

How quickly people change their views. Not long ago Haye was being praised for not ducking anyone. Now because he is fighting Harrison he is being accused of an easy payday. To be honest I dont think Harrison stands a chance and I dont blame Haye at all for making decent money fighting him. I am convinced Haye would lose to Klitscho so I cant see the two fighting anytime soon. Haye may even fight the winner of Sexton/Chisora which IMO would be a tougher fight than Harrison. If Haye wants to keep his career going another 3/4 years getting in with the big boys too soon may prove a disaster.

It's because he shot his mouth off about both Klitschkos and talked so much trash about them for a long time. Then he DUCKS Wlad when a 50:50 offer is on the table with no options. It's nothing to do with Harrison. It's all about Haye running his mouth and then ducking. That's what people don't like. Spare me the economic viability points. Haye ran his mouth so that we all heard him doing it for a long time... then ducked Wlad.

I think you misunderstood me, I think Haye is ducking Klitscho and going for softer options. I think he has come to his senses now and once the possibiliy of fighting Klitcho became a reality I dont think he fancied the job. This way he can stay WBA champion for a while and make some money out of it.markp wrote:No.WildWaylon wrote:How quickly people change their views. Which means Haye is a smart businessman, etc - but he is NOT the fearless duck no-one fight any time and any place warrior he made himself out to be to his fans.

The Klits haven't offered 50-50, they own K2, put up a purse of a few million, call it 50-50, when in reality its 90-10 in their (K2s) favour

ok 'brains' can you name me a fighter, in the history of time, who didn't portray themselves as a fearless duck no-one fight any time and any place warrior?
Re: What the eff is david haye playing at ??
i would have bought it on PPV, but i don't think haye is going to be persuaded into fighting audley. i think he will try to negotiate a vitali fight. reckon he feels fighting audley is beneath him, and that he wants the big stage, vs an increasingly hittable "Big Brother."Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:I love the fact that the biggest crime possible on the boxrec forums, is promoting a fight that people actually want too see.
priceless..
however, haye has gone very quiet, seems to be enjoying either having time away from boxing, or perhaps keeping everyone guessing.
don't reckon audley gets this fight. if he had fought with more purpose and confidence, earlier on, he would have got his chance because any promoter,a ny TV, would have been eager to cash his name in.

But Haye went to extreme lengths to try and fight Wlad
Promising his fans he would KO Wlad
Confronting him at the stairs in public and trying to bully him into a fight
Signing to fight him and his brother and pulling out both times
He left the Crusierweight division over 2 years ago - and has still not fought Wlad
He is a let down.
Re: What the eff is david haye playing at ??
he needed a title though didn't he
now he doesn't need the title, hence having less urgency
a while back it was all or nothing. now he has options.
let's see what haye has up his sleeve. how he'll pull himself out of this one. at cruiserweight he did end up having the last laugh. i can't believe david haye doesn't have a plan.
