It's an oppotunity to get rid of a lot of ring rust, and he has a chance to beat a bloke with a perfect record, if it actually go's thru good on him, it's better than his last 3 matchups.

He fought Hanshaw 3 years ago. Hanshaw had two fights after that and lost both of them. Before that he was 21-0.

They should have had odds on this, i would have bet that this fight would not go thru....It's getting to the point where he's either got to move up in weight or he's got to pack it in or call it quits.
I hope he moves up.

@LHW ive wondered for a while why this possibility hasnt even been discussed, i assumed it was because they were friends.... but since Green is fighting Briggs thats blown that theory out the window.

Sakio's calling out of Mundine didnt get enough publicy for my liking. He should have his own column in the Telegrapgh where he calls him out on a weekly basis. Either Mundine steps up (*COUGH!* Not Likely!), or crawls back into his hole exposed publicly as the dodging fairy he is. Its win/win. Sakio has enough free time on his hands at the moment, may as well put it to good use

Im not going by his record, im going by watching his 2 losses to Roy Jones & Andre Dirrell, he was just an untested righter.

This is good for Sakio he needs to get in the ring and get things back on track, i dont see Jean Paul Mendy lasting more then 6 rounds though

Sakio is now being trained by Buddy McGirt and is living in Vero Beach, Florida. Billy Hussein will be joining them for this fight.

yes, very frustrating for sakio.

it does appear as though he is doing his best to get fights, just not much luck on his side.

The blokes a good fighter fair dinkum when he fought calzaghe people were like bloody norah Calzaghe struggled with this guy, but in retrospect he's been shown to be a lot better than people thought. A tough determined guy who people dont want to give a fair crack of the whip.

Bika/Mendy is an IBF Elimination fight. Let's hope Sakio wins and gets another shot at Bute.

Tlak of the Hanshaw fight is ridiculous as everyone is entitled to an off night nd aside from that he is undefeated. And hanshaw is no grub anyway

It does not help his cause that most of his fights have been in France.
