Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
With Kell Brook being convicted of assault does this mean this fight will be off again? Jamie Cox was convicted of assault earlier this year and his licence has been taken away from him until he completes his 250 hours of community service. I was a little surprised to see Brook at the Magnificent Seven press conference considering he is still waiting to be sentenced.

Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
it was only common assualt..... thats nowt
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
He is appealing. Apparently went to court and represented himself because he didn't want to let anyone know about it, but he is now going to get some legal advise.
It is true that common assault is lesser than ABH and much less than GBH, but it still does have a maximum 6-month prison sentence.

i hope it comes off. michael jennings is always in top shape and can box for fun; i think he'll beat brook who fancies himself a bit too much.

Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
He needs to prove he can smash up the likes of jennings, O'donnell etc first and Its no certainty he can.
When i watched Brook spar O'Donnell is was fairly even.

i think jennings is the faster of the 2 and this will surprise brook, hes also very fit and i think this could be an important factor as it gets in to the later rounds.

Brook in 6.
Brook in 6.
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
I think Jennings will beat him as well.
He's certainly more proven than Brook, who might have a Lonsdale outright but hasn't fought anybody hardly.
I bet Jennings has more KO's than Brook's last ten opponents put together. Surely that tells you something

Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
brook is a strong and powerful head hunter who has not been hit back even once in his career. has he been past 6 rounds? oh yes; once. all talk of a world title is crazy. jennings is fit as a fiddle has plenty of bottle and is not there to make up the numbers.
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
Jennings will expose him and outbox him. Then He'll probably go for a 15mile run around the Pennines to chill out!

Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
Michael Jennings is a great kid with a good family and fan base behind him.
I have been lucky to see a lot of his fights without necessarily going to see him fight.
Equally I've seen a bit of Brook close up.
Come fight night Michael will be 33 and his relative inactivity worries me.
Brook has got everything in front of him, hits like a mule, and has good movement.
It is just my own opinion, but I think this might be the fight when everything catches up with Michael.
Wazza is shrewd. I just don't see why he would want to expose Brook to this if he didn't think he would prevail.
Any way, this is the joy of boxing.
Many different opinions making this a spicy set to.
All will be revealed - hopefully - on 18th September.

how much confidence does jennings have after being taken to pieces by cotto? he seemed to want a rematch after that fight - was he incredulous that someone could beat him so easily?

i can tell you now that mike is 100 percent confident on beating brook,he is a very confident fighter and believes in preperation and his ability.i think the cotto fight hasnt affected his confidence one bit,the way he looks at it is brook hasnt got anything he hasnt seen before.anyway come fight night we'll know.just hope it doesnt fall through.

EPIC FAIL
You get my point though - Bienias was a tomato can.... God knows how bad his opponents must have been to be stopped by him.
The rest hardly had any.
Jennings 117-111 Brook - mark my words.

not a chance of jennings winning by 6, your clearly biased, brook KO round 7LeedsLad wrote:HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:brooks last opponent has 16 ko's jennings 17..nice try palLeedsLad wrote:I think Jennings will beat him as well.

Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
This is spot on! Brook will do it easier than a lot think. Jennings has a lot of wins, but I can't think of any genuine, young and hungry prospects hetwenty six wrote:Michael Jennings is a great kid with a good family and fan base behind him.

has beaten. Brook within 6, Jennings just getting caught with too many heavy shots.
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
i've seen brook box in 3 or 4 fights and i bet he's not thrown 5 body shots in any of them. he is very strong, has a high guard and is menacing. he has good angles and is a class above who he has faced. jennings is a proved and tested 12 round boxer who has got through tough spells; he hits harder than given credit for. kell has been past 6 rounds once. though he has looked good bashing decent men up i don't think he should be sized up for a crown just yet. he has not been hit on the chin yet! jennings beat bradley price who can punch with the best of them. brook is not cotto; no way will he stop jennings and we will see brook caught and hard.
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
Some good points and yes Jennings has done the distance well in the past, mainly because he's not been hit as hard and often by somebody with the ability of Kell Brook. Bradley Pryce had Jennings all at sea, but did great to get what I believe is his career best win. Difference between Pryce and Brook is that Pryce has no where near the accuracy of Brook, and I'd say Brook is a harder hitter also.simon fox wrote:i've seen brook box in 3 or 4 fights and i bet he's not thrown 5 body shots in any of them. he is very strong, has a high guard and is menacing. he has good angles and is a class above who he has faced. jennings is a proved and tested 12 round boxer who has got through tough spells; he hits harder than given credit for. kell has been past 6 rounds once. though he has looked good bashing decent men up i don't think he should be sized up for a crown just yet. he has not been hit on the chin yet! jennings beat bradley price who can punch with the best of them. brook is not cotto; no way will he stop jennings and we will see brook caught and hard.
Kell's chin has not been proven yet, but his power has to a certain level. But will Jennings be too wary of Brook and not get close enough to land a good shot. I ask this because he wouldn't go
near Cotto, tho I'd agree that Cotto hits harder than Brook.
Kell Brook by RSF, round 5
Re: Kell Brook v Michael Jennings 18 September
Jennings, it's hard to say. He really hasn;t done anything sinse that World title loss- and that was an amazingly one sided fight.
