But surely you can see how that is not fair? What about those fights that were stopped and the victor was behind on the cards?

There should be an immediate rematch - the final could wait 1 week.
This would a one-off or course.

The decision lies with you.

Regarding the WBU, you accepted the fight and didn't bring anything to light. A 'switched on' manager would have mentioned something.

You snooze you lose!!

I'm not insulting the commissioner, he has enough on his plate already so can't expect him to track every minor* detail. When fights are signed, fights are signed. Can't go back on contracts.

*minor because you didn't notice.

Actually there was never any mention of the title, it was just assumed that Griffo was low enough to fight for it. He wasn't, so we have been wronged. It needs to be righted.
There was, in the match-up thread. It was there to see. Not my problem if you didn't pull it up at the time.

Why not week 18?

You do not have enough credibility yet to offer ultimatums.

Because I already have a fight signed for Week 18.

I'm not giving you an ultimatum...I am offering you a fight for Week 19.

Let's not fuck about here, there can be no 2 ways about it

I promised you a rematch after Week 18... And here's my offer.
And that's it.

We hereby challenge the winner of this fight to take on the GBP fighter of your choice at the end of this farce. Either of them will send the winner back to square one.

This is nothing but a dog and pony show. Nelson and Marquez are the two greatest fighters in the sim. The Saldbar guy is perhaps third, but doing himself no favors by participating here. But if there is no corruption he will likely win it.

Take it or leave it - if this isn't an ultimatum then I've given up on the English language.

Alright, you're fuckin about now.
I've asked you twice to sign the fight, and you haven't give me an answer...

I have fulfilled my end of the bargain...
Either you make the fight for Week 19, or you don't...
Those are your opinions.

Either way, I have stayed true to my word.

And yet, your fellow Hall of Famer has complained about Barrera not fighting him.

When Barrera tries to make arrangements for the fight to be signed, he has hesitated and delayed.

I've been asking for this fight for a few weeks now. You initially said week 18, but then called me out on week 17 when I'd signed a fight, and now you're telling me my last chance is a fight in week 19.

Now then, one would think you actually have clout at the bargaining table. Nice work on your behalf.

Do you honestly believe I'm going to submit to your stipulations?

Indeed, however Barrera already had his Week 14 and Week 15 fights signed. And I never go back on a signed fight.
jBacca wrote:You initially said week 18
What I actually said was:
Crease wrote:I will make you a gentleman's oath that:
I will match Barrera against Lewis any time from Week 18 or after it.
jBacca wrote:but then called me out on week 17 when I'd signed a fight
I was not aware that you had signed for the fight. I don't see why you are complaining about this, you yourself said:
jBacca wrote:Crease, do the honourable thing and settle the dodgy draw sooner, rather than later.
jBacca wrote:and now you're telling me my last chance is a fight in week 19.
That is the offer on the table... I told you before that I would offer you the chance to have a rematch against Barrera, and here it is.
jBacca wrote:Now then, one would think you actually have clout at the bargaining table.... Nice work on your behalf. Do you honestly believe I'm going to submit to your stipulations?
There is no bargaining to be done, it's a fairly straightforward offer that I am making you...
The decision is in your hands, and that is it.

I have asked for the fight each week for the last few. You decline saying week 18, then you offer me in week 17 when I have a fight, and then tell me week 19 take it or leave it.

That is the case, nothing more.

SimPugilstic Championship Bulletin:

#1. WBO.....Since MontAzumah never lost the WBO championship in the ring, GBP is taking this matter to the courts to have Nelson quickly reinstated as WBO champion by an International Judge. Thereby relegating this tourney irrelevant.

#2&3 WBA&WBC Since Azumah has recently brutally beaten the WBC and WBA champ a GBP will petition this court for those belts as well.

#4 IBF.... We also expect to retain the IBF since it is now clear that Nelson was clearly drugged and his behavior becomes completely excusable.

In closing.... we fully expect the Commish and the Courts to declare MontAzumah Nelson as the Permanent Unified Champion within the next few days.

As a result...Golden Buzz Promotions now declares these proceedings to be Null and Void.

At this point in time, The Saladbar guy and Raffy are the only Simfighters who can claim any sort of valid counter argument to who the real champ is.
