I disagree. Bowe gets on top of Norton early, & stays there. TKO4, with Norton hitting the deck twice.dempseyfire wrote:Norton carves up Big Daddy into Sunday dinner

I disagree. Bowe was no Foreman, and leaved himself so open that he'd be running into jabs and right hand counters that would ensure he doesn't just wave in and stop him. Norton would outjab Bowe and leave him gassed and tired by the late rounds. Sure, there's a chance Bowe lands a monster shot early, but I think in most instances either he never lands that shot or Norton survives and gets back on top.
Re: Riddick Bowe vs. Ken Norton...
if this is a prime bowe, i like riddick to stop norton in the middle rounds. bowe's prime was so short but he was a complete fighter during that time.
Re: Riddick Bowe vs. Ken Norton...
Listen to me wen I talk: Bowe would loath this contest. I think Bowe goes into his shell and Norton gets a 12 round UD.
Re: Riddick Bowe vs. Ken Norton...
Bowe by KO/TKO. His defence was poor, but his chin made up for that, so if he takes three punches from Norton to land one of his own, it is still good bargain for him. He was also bigger man, so I doubt it would be easy for Norton to outjab him, as someone suggested. Holyfield did it (once in three fights), but even that wasn't an easy win, and anyway Holy had the chin to survive some good shots from Bowe.

I think Bowe has that "spark threshold" that usually took Ken Out of the fight. And Bowe likely would have gotten it in at some point.
