Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
Dominick Guinn and Island’s Martin Rogan will be wanting a piece of Harrison after he’s done with Vitali.
Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
Good stuff, Slappy.
Can't wait to see Rogie back in the ring. It will be interesting to see what path he takes if he wants to get to a EBU shot. A Chisora fight would be a cracker. Rogan - Barrett would be a good fight for this year aswell or does Rogie have to fight an eliminator for that opportunity? :P

Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
I would love to see Rogie come back and destroy Chisora but obviously he needs a warm up fight before going for a title.
Rogan would be a good test for Fury as well.

Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
He needs at least two tune up fights (in a close timespan) before facing anyone of any decency in my opinion. He needs to shake off any rust and get back to winning ways.iwz678 wrote:I would love to see Rogie come back and destroy Chisora but obviously he needs a warm up fight before going for a title.

McBride - Barrett - Fury - Chisora - Haye!Deno1986 wrote:He needs at least two tune up fights (in a close timespan) before facing anyone of any decency in my opinion. if they are seriously talking about Harrison-Haye - why not Rogie?Bomber 1 wrote:It's a p1ss take mate...tarton terror wrote:if rogie beat haye...... lol wishfull thinkingBomber 1 wrote:

Why not Sam Sexton?slapbangwhallop wrote:if they are seriously talking about Harrison-Haye - why not Rogie?Bomber 1 wrote:It's a p1ss take mate...tarton terror wrote: if rogie beat haye...... lol wishfull thinkingNo one on palnet earth could sanction such a match with a straight face.. ;;-)
Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
Harrison is European champ, has beef with Haye and is a name known across the globe. None of this applies to Rogan.slapbangwhallop wrote:if they are seriously talking about Harrison-Haye - why not Rogie?Bomber 1 wrote:It's a p1ss take mate...tarton terror wrote: if rogie beat haye...... lol wishfull thinkingNo one on palnet earth could sanction such a match with a straight face.. ;;-)
Surely you knew all this?

Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
i would love to see sosnowski v rogan. what a fight that could be. sosnowski really impressed me with his attitude, fitness and game plan vs vitali. he was outgunned but he put to shame other challengers and perhaps showed a more overtly world class fighter could approach vitali.
Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
I think Rogan at the top of his form would give Haye a tough night, Hayes durability and stamina is still questionable. Having said that I think Martin may be at the point where all his tough fights ahve taken a toll, (plus his age), and I just dont see him recapturing the edge he had when he was beating Harrison and winning the British title...

Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
Rogan-Fury
I honestly believe Rogan would win it, Fury really struggled under McDermotts pressure and Rogan is a far stronger and better pressure fighter. I think Rogan could make him crumble late on with his relentless style. Fury probably would get the early rounds but the constant pressure for Rogan would wear him down and take him out late imo

Rogan wasn't relentless against Sexton.

He didnt look good there, but if the Rogan who fought Williams or Skelton i really think he would beat FuryDavidPayne wrote:Rogan wasn't relentless against Sexton.
Re: Martin Rogan is on the comeback trail
i dunno, given that roga only just beat dolan, a domestic nearly man at both heavyweight (prize fighter runner up) and cruiserweight.fatcity69 wrote:I think Rogan at the top of his form would give Haye a tough night, Hayes durability and stamina is still questionable. david haye and david dolan are like chalk and cheese. but maybe rogan could get some decent shots off in a small ring during a 3 rounder.
