I was under the impression that vea being the new champ, decides on he defends the title against.
WHAT A BLOODY FIGHT (no pun intended)
Norton gave up the title due to him not wanting to travel down here to defend it and he wanted to concernrate on winning the Lonsdale (British title) outright, which he is one fight away from doing. I can see this situation not changing until Rob Norton does this.tiger10 wrote:from what i have heard, dominic must fight Rob Norton now even tho he had relinquished the title....i have read somewhere that although Vea won a vacant title...norton will get to fight the winner.

He won't beat Green or Briggs at this stage, there's a lot of work to do for team Vea and trainer Dylan, have a search for Ammann v Alexander Alexeev.....thats what will happen if he go's for a name now....after the last 2 fights albeit injured his defence will be cracked by fighters with more skill, power and movement.
I'm a fan and have even predicted Vea when he was 6-1 to be a fighter to watch out for, but a 5 month lay off to heal, and then 3 or 4 fights over a 4 month period against guys like Mensah,Ammann,McCracken,Bostic,Azzoari would be ideal to see if he's learn't how to defend and work his way in close without eating leather.
