Yeah I heard this as well at the end of sports tonight. They didn't give a reason and just said there will be a press conference tomorrow. This sucks. Hopefully its just postponed as I don't reckon I'll have much chance getting a refund on my plane tickets.

Sanctioning issues??? NSW don't want to clear a fight between Green and someone who hasn't fought in 3 years

Hold your horses! There are other states they could go to.

But I do see where NSW is coming from!! Apparently it is still on. Makes you wonder whether someone in Team Green has dropped the ball here and should have checked on this months ago!!

There is more to it, but reason is of confidential nature.
I've been aware of the situation for over a week & NSW Authority's decision is not based what is said in the article.
I doubt other regulators will allow it to go on.

ATM, it's best to leave it to Green's official announcement.

This is not good at all. At least they are talking about moving it to perth. Pain in the arse to transfer plane tickets though.

yeah that would suck coz airlines dont generally give a stuff and will just refuse to cancel them. this happened to me when i had awesome seats for mayweather-JMM. it got postponed and i had already arranged flights and hotels....luckily tho, i was going to vegas anyway for ufc 100 the week before so i wasnt as badly effected as other people i know who were travelling from england and didnt give a stuff about the ufc.

So is it confirmed that it's being held in Perth now or just rumours?

If WA Commission fails to register Briggs, the fight won't go ahead.
Unlike in US, if one Oz regulator declines registration on medical grounds, the rest follow suit.
I guess we'll know in the next 24 hours
