Its much easier to throw combos with the stick, you can throw 4 or 5 punches in one fluid motion. When you use the buttons, you just end up mashing them till your figters gassed

You can do some pretty cool feinting with the stick also which seems to work in making your opponent put their guard up or down. Cocking a right haymaker as if you're going to the head then switching it downstairs is one of my favourite moves and vice versa.

It's easier to switch between head and body using the stick aswell.

much less painful though, I used to be able to really rattle off the combinations with the buttons on the old KO kings, but on fight night i find it really really hard to land hooks for some reason, and my hands starts aching like a bastard too.

It takes a bit of getting used to but hooks are easy with practice. Particularly right hook haymakers that you can land from a distance and clobber the hell out of guys with.

Your stats start going down when you hit 31. I'm fighting with a 27 year old light heavy at the moment.

I had a heavyweight world champ I retired at 32 with a 35-0 record as he was on the slide. God knows why I did that but I was bored with him aswell.

Have they done away with the automatic retirement after a certain number of defences?

I'm playing on hard level. My light heavy is 19-2 at the moment. I'm having blood sweat and tears fights aswell if I am winning its when I'm on the verge of being sparked myself.

Glad they did away with the automatic retirement.

I like the idea of fighting on into your old age and becoming a trial horse.

It must retire you at some point though, or surely your figther dies of old age....?

Currently fighting with a 42 year old light heavyweight. 40-2 and won all the title belts including P4P and unified belts. Loathe to retire him, he's still champ but seriously on the slide!!

its beocme a bit dull and repetitive now to be honest, i'll leave it alone for a while then come back to it tho.

tends to happen with me and games i dont like to just sit and play em for weeks at a time. Im 32 not 15.

I'm only getting sparodic time to play....

However, I love it, my Mark Hobson clone, i.e. its meant to be me, at 175lbs is 5-0.

I'm playing on medium from the outset and its getting easy to hit and void getting hit.....which, I think is the idea - I love the cut scenes, swelling management etc....

tho lately ive been watchin a bit of rugby as it gets tot the biznizz end of the season and Bath involved.

Was thinking bout going to twickenham on sat but seeing as the last couple of times i went I got stuck on a train for 3 hrs on a sat night just outside vauxhall and the time prior to that I got nicked for kicking the shit out of some geezer who hit my old man, reckon Ill give it a miss and watch the final on tv

I took the precaution of simultaneously buying Tiger Woods 04 and have still to put a meaningful dint in Black Monday -The Getaway.

However, Fight Night is made for a beer night with mates, the one on one nature is perfect....

Now what would friends be under on yell.com.....
