Fantasy Boxing Career

Post by winkveron »

What would yours be like, from start to finish? What titles would you fight for, when and where?

I'd be a welterweight. I'd fight for the British title after 15 or so fights at my local leisure centre so all my friends and family could see me win it.

I'd then defend it enough times to win the Lonsdale belt outright, on the road at places like York Hall, Kelvin Hall and Ulster Hall.

Then I'd win the Euro belt on the road, and defend it 2 or 3 times.

I'd then fight a couple of international opponents, gatekeeper types, on the undercards of big fights in the U.S. to gain an international following and also to bridge the gulf between Euro and World level.

I'd like to have a world title fight at the M.E.N. arena. I'd be 25-0 by now.

I'd defend it 8 times. Four times at the M.E.N. with four fights abroad in between (MSG, Las Vegas and Boardwalk Hall in America. Plus I'd go to Germany and smash their favourite so I couldn't get stiffed on the cards!).

I'd then have a big unification fight at Old Trafford and retire undefeated as a future HOFer. 36-0.
