Yeah that guy is a good writer.

Growing up in a crack house, and walking his mum to work everyday was the reason Futch used to give for taking him on, when people like Butch Lewis turned him down, saying "I smell Greg Page..."

Didn't realise there were crack house minders pointing guns out of the windows though - it's a miracle Riddick came out of a hell hole like that to become world champ.

Amazing too that he's still got all that money - I guess Rock Newman wasn't too bad after all.

Christ even Foreman came in in better shape at the start of his comeback. Bowe needs to reconsider his options, he's got 20 mill in the bank apparently, can't he find something else to give meaning to his life?
Maybe so, but he'd still stomp that Lennox chump!!

A Lewis v Bowe fight would have been interesting in the 92-96 period. But in the shape and condition Bowe is in now, Lewis will kill him. Literally.
If feather punching Zumbrun was bouncing his head around the ring, round after round, imagine what Lewis` right hand sledge hammers would do to him.

Too, fat, too slow, probably brain damaged (at least the courts bought that line) and showed no precision at all with his right hand.

Even after a Lewis retirement of 2 years, Bowe doest belong in the ring with Lewis.

Yes, but that just makes whats happening to him all the more tragic really... to go through all that and win the title but then end up like he is now is one of the saddest things I have seen in boxing.
Bowes whole behaviour over the past few years is that of someone who has suffered braindamage... his performance against Golota in their 2nd bout was a clear indication that something was wrong, the shot reflexes, lack of balance and coordination, these are all give aways to neurological danage and has nothing to do with age. For him to be allowed to fight now is just appalling and he will very possibly end up like Jerry Quarry who died at age 51 after spending the last 5 years or so of his life with the mental age of a 12 yearold.
This whole thing makes me truely sick.

There's no way he'd be fighting if he had $20 million in the bank. The man is naturally lazy I really dont think he would. That was reported somewhere but is it really true? He's had a well documented messy divorce I guess he's not broke but I doubt he has $20m available.
It's hard to argue with that if he comes in at 280 ibs.
