Morris should have a chance to avenge the dodgy first result.

that was never a dogdy result imo.

However I would like to see him fight all four before he moves on the Euro level - plenty of time.

Don't think Crolla has enough power to mix it up at the top level. Maybe am wrong, well I hope I am because he seems like a good kid.

Apparently his next fight will be in Dewsbury it would be nice to see a rematch with Foster. Crolla could he stay with Garys workrate?

Crolla should be required to beat a ranked contender before getting a shot at the title, otherwise it makes the whole concept of the British title farcical.

Lose an eliminator, beat three journeyman and a shot fighter..... and get a shot - ahead of Morris, who was unlucky not to get the decision against Sykes last time.

There needs to be a mini tournament at 130, with Sykes, Johanneson, Cook, Foster, Morris, Crolla etc to determine supremacy - perhaps Mitchell can get down to the weight as well?

So losing narrowly is better qualification than 3 tune up wins and a defeat of a former two time World-title challenger?

In this instance yes.

Brodie might have been world class in his day, but was clearly a shadow of his former self.... as for three tune up wins - Baguley is half decent but the other two are clearly low level journeymen.

Morris ought to have got an immediate rematch with Sykes - the first fight was a good one and close, give Crolla a ten rounder on the undercard with a guaranteed shot at the winner maybe?

Gary beat Anthony Crolla a lot easier than he did Andy Morris.

The 2 of them are with the same promoter so it should be really easy to make them in an eliminator and find out who doeas really deserve the shot.

i want to see him in with Carl Johanneson next

if Carl has anything left, I think Sykes will find it very difficult to keep him off for 12 rounds

great Yorkshire derby!! :D

Sykes vs Johanneson would be a great fight for us locals, we've rarely had two title level fighters at the same time, never mind two at the same weight.

Carl needs to earn his shot by beating someone noteworthy - it would be hypocritical of me to say Crolla doesn't deserve a shot and suggesting Sykes gets in with Johanneson.

I've spoken with Gary, Chris Aston, Julian McGowan, Carl Johanneson and his trainer Martin Williams quite a lot in the past couple of months and what I'm now led to believe is that Gary will fight Crolla in Dewsbury and then fight Carl at either Huddersfield or a venue in Leeds afterwards.

Sykes v Johanneson will be a massive fight in Yorkshire.

I've posted a couple of links from articles I've done on the subject.
