Willy Moran; the only man known to have ever kayoed Ali as an amateur
Jimmy Ellis was 1-1-0 against Ali in the amateurs winning a decision in their second bout
Kent Green (of Chicago) won a decision over Ali*
Amos Johnson (southpaw) won a decision over Ali
*Ironically in 1979, when Ali was looking for opponents for a time, it was talked about of having Kent Green fight Ali for the heavyweight title, despite him not having fought in years
The Men Who Beat Muhammad Ali
Re: The Men Who Beat Muhammad Ali

From what I have seen on tape and read about him, he was orthodox ?!

Chicagoan Kent Green was always introduced at ringside at The Chicago Golden Gloves in the seventies.
He was a bit of a celeb.
They always used to say he kod Ali though.
At least thats how I remember it. Been a long time.
