I don't think £5 is bad value, less than you'd pay to see it live, but then it is internet quality I suppose. At least the fighters are getting some exposure. Anything which gets non 'world' title bouts on the TV or internet or whatever, I am in favour for. If the market won't support it, then that's another matter, but there's no harm in trying. Elephant and castle is right near me, so I think I'll go see it live.

note i will probably go but thats if i can get time of find a hotel. note will also try and take pictures for 50 sites with my camera. falling that i will find a park to sleep and talk to the ducks

It's the typical we want more boxing on TV, but of course are not prepared for it.

Or we already pay £40 to watch boxing on sky!

Maloney had a pop at the armchair fans at the press conference today

Also had an interesting chat with Kevin Bennett which will go up later this week, press conference will go up later tonight

a) want on it

b) pay for it monthly

a) As much boxing as the company who runs it can afford, UK bills, Various US shows, German Bills live.

Also ways for the show to make money - competitions, phone ins would be good.

A weekly news section of gossip presented by an handsome Welshman!

b) I think it should be as part of the Sky Sports subscription charge. Personally, I would pay for it monthly but I am not the bill payer so it wouldn't be my call. I think if it was part of the sports package and that increased say to £45 less people would cancell that, than pay the £5 a month for the Boxing channell.

C) If there was some very good US fights screened LIVE then yes I would by them on a PPV basis and pay £15. They wouldn't have to be US PPV, but I would have bought Mayweather vs Brussells. The usual Friday Night fights or Fox Sports stuff I wouldn't buy - this ESPN bill coming up I would by.

Same with the other foreign bills - I would have gone PPV if the recent DM vs Tiozzo bill was screened live with English commentary.

We do chat regularly about the lack of overseas fights shown but there is such a gap left on the British Scene with the pullout of BBC there are several promoters without an outlet to showcase their fighters. It would seem like an excellent idea especially as there even is a Wrestling Channel and that has laid out a blueprint that by hosting competitions and TV Shopping at certain times during its broadcast you can make such a product viable and surely Boxing can reach a larger audience

On what grounds? The beef is not with the promoters, but the fact that unlike football, we get fornicate all coverage, and have to pay extra for fights we really want to see.

For instance, the terrestrial channels and Sky together show just about all the football matches you want to see, christ the whole of Saturday every single week is nothing but premiership through to the 2nd division action, reviews, highlights etc.

You get all of that with sky sports 1, no extra fees nothing.

Boxing on the other hand, you pay the same monthly

Personally, i think a fiver to watch it on the net is fine, don't have a problem. If that option was open more often, I would probably just fornicate sky off. Trouble is that at present, without sky, you get nothing.

Why do boxing fans consistently get called anoraks and 'armchair fans' I don't hear the same thing from football clubs when their fans complain, aside from the Roy Keane comment.
