I remember reading an interview with Tex Cobb,were he said he worked as a bouncer at a roadhouse in Texas.
That was back in his college days when he competed in full contact karate.
he said some funny things about the clientel of the roadhouse.

Mate of mine is Aidy Jones' brother, he's a bit younger than me and seemed genuinely surprised I knew who he was.

Ted Gullick was a bouncer at his girlfriends nightclub that she owned in Cleveland back in the 1970's.
He was still an active fighter.

btw was he murdered or commited suicide in 1986?
Because thats a strange account I read in a December.15.1986 Cleveland Ohio newspaper.

Jake LaMotta worked the same place Nino Valdez worked (not sure if it was the same years though. It was a topless joint on 7th ave about 40th street.
Its not there anymore.
My father brought me there to meet Jake for the very first time (1970). I was 13 years old then. I know Nino worked there later on because Henry Wallitsch (former heavywt) told me and he worked a place around the corner from there and knew him well.

I think that the strip club you may have visted was
Robbie's Mardi Gras on Seventh Ave.
LaMotta worked there in the early 1970's.
