Resignation

Post by allworld80 »

I won't have enough time to due this for the next month or so due to some family matters that must be attended to.

So rather than hold everyone up, I'm stepping down as commish, so someone else can keep it rolling. Over a year, hundreds of cards, thousands of fights.....I enjoyed the shit out of it. :TU:

I ran week 20 to give it some closure, and I'll update the final rankings. And if a month or so from now nothings doing here, I wouldn't rule out a return.

This. I don't have anything to compare it with, but I think you've been excellent, very fair, and put in an awful lot of time into it. :TU:

Does this mean there'd have to be a new season? Or could someone else continue the existing one?

You are the man, tf. Good luck with whatever matters may be going on. You have saved me the humiliation of watching Armstrong shit the bed for 20 more weeks.

Wow, what a great run! Spectacular and so deeply appreciated! I'm sure the fun this has generated has been very likely illegal under Briitish Law....and possibly a few foreign countries and a U.S. province or two.

If no one else steps up I would consider this. However give this a week or two to see what develops. I would need a bit of serious training on the process of posting the results to MSN. I also would likely preserve pretty much all the aspects of the current operations.

New season or continued season would be an interesting question. I had dreams of the Professor stepping it up in the final reel, but if I became commish in the middle of the season I would abandon fighters and become a beacon of neutrality. So much so no one would recognize the BoxBuzz moniker.....and to leave such an attitude in the dust seems such a waste of such a celebrated and loved fictional character.

Thank you Tszyu!

A new season (and a heavier Weight Class) would be most refreshing. :OhYes:

if this season is to continue I"ll ask Tzyu to e-mail me his database. If I can run it and clearly define the history I'll see what I can do to bring the season to fruition sans the dirty deeds of Azhuma and Bass who would become part of the CPU crowd. That of course depends on whether I can figure out the technicals and fit it into my weekly routine. I'm not a great tech person.....I'll also have to see just how much time it takes.

Though it may seem that I have too much time on my hands....I typically chime in between ongoing projects, in order to "break the routine" of my work. It's my little self made series of "3 minute Bahama vacations" within my otherwise grueling work schedule.

New season please :OhYes:

Buzz, if you step-up, you will be thanked. I'd have no objection with you taking part either (I know you wouldn't cheat).

Nonsense! Pep is starting to dominate the season and Battalino is after knocking out two ranked fighters in his last two fights. No need to start a new season, let's just continue and watch Fighting Irish Promotions take control. 3 weeks ago, I was praying for a new season

I dong see why you are all ready to give up, Jai, sock, etc. Look at Saldivar, he had a very negative record, now he's rated near the top of the sanctioning orgs. Armstrong can come back, and Griffo beat Pep already, he's very capable.

I think this season can only get more fun, and I want to knock Marquez off his perch again :P.

Mate, Saldivar was always going to be nearer the top as the season went on. A few more fights in and you'll see the belts being contested by the same top 6-8 fighters.

I'm not ready to give up, but would prefer a new start to go with the arrival of a new commissioner.
