tua floored (video)

Post by adamheight »

sorry not sure if this deserves its own thread but i was shocked to read about this. how does monte barrett drop a guy who has never been dropped (forget the hasim rahman "knockdown", he was off balance).

tua will fight on but he may be shot i'm afraid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4I2adAD3R0

the knockdown is 6:40s into this video

Tua is completly shot. Barrett was destroyed in two rounds by Solis, Couser, and dominated by the very poor Ustinov. In his prime Tua would have brutally knocked out Barrett. By most accounts Barrett was unlucky not to get the decision. Tua is done, which is unfortunante, as he has been one of my favorite fighters over the years. In his prime he was an amazing KO artist and one of the hardest punchers of all time.

It appears in the 12th, could be wrong as i read it on the current scene, he also lost a point in the 12th, everyone thinks Tua got a gift with a draw.....Everyone that saw thinks he's finished, Cameron has even less credability now.

Barrett has been blown away by all lately, so where does this leave Tua after he's less than average performance???

10-7 last round and still get away with a draw-- hmmmm Tua had a lucky shave. Barrett should rightfully feel ripped..... oh well, it says draw on the record...so moving on.

Barrett is supposed to be retiring now. Some commentators thought in the circumstances the judges may have given him the fight for him to go out on a high note.

"hes undoubtedly gone further then any modern day Australasian boxer "

Um do you mean any modern day Australasian "Heavyweight" boxer? Because in the lower weights there are plenty that have gone further than him.

Yeah sorry the heavyweights...cant believe that fight with Barret :verysad:

Weve had and got a lot of great lighter weights in Australasia particularly in Australia where they're trainning some new young talent with some very good trainers.
