yes mate i was with gemini and still train there of a morning time i wouldnt say andy was a big hitter though lol i was and still am i like to think any ways i stopped about 18 or 19 of 36 anature bouts and knock out a lot of older men than men when i was a kid so thats why he says iam a big hitter lol

Who was your trainer, John Rice? He trained John and he speaks very highly of him.

yes iam still with john hes great been with him since i was 11 iam in agony right now cause of him he realy put me through it today

There was some good lads at the Gemini, the Vlasmans, the Burns, John, yourself. There is probably loads of other I have omitted, the old memory is not as good as it used to be. There was a good lad called Lee Edele, I think it was. Have you ever trained at Frannie Hand's gym in Oak Street, I know John still goes there occassionally. We both used to go years ago.

Best of luck with your comeback. You seem to have the right idea with 2 or 3 warm up fights (mind you they are harder to find nowdays) and then get yourself back in the Champioship level.

Best of luck Tony, nice to have you back on the scnee and indeed posting here, I always enjoy reading actual fighters posts.

p.s. yip jamie is chris' son. interviewed via fone him last week, very nice chap indeed from our brief chat!

He often recalls their fights. He said they were tough. Never got to see them unfortunately don't think they are on tape either.

UK fight of the year I think...yeah and never on tv. Don't think even Eric Guy was on hand to film.

I would opt for Clarke first though if I was Dodson's manager, Collins next (or even the third comeback fight).

Have to say, I'm firmly behind Carl Froch (after all it wasn't Carl who pulled out three times) but realy respect Tony for coming on and fielding so many questions.

mate thats a good plan i think any way. i swear to you all iam gonna do everything in my power to give you all that fight i want it just as much as you people but at the moment its just so hard to even get a fight

Think he was sheduled to fight in the Liverpool bill on Friday, but had to pull out. Not sure why, might have been an injury
