Re: Big Amir Khan News..
I remember him telling Michael Grant he'd fight him before he turned Pro.
I didn't hold my breath then and I won't now.
If the Bradley fight comes off then I'd be very surprised as it'd be more lucrative in 12 months when both are more popular with TV audiences.
Khan's supremely skilled but i'd fancy Bradley to get through eventually and force a mid round stoppage.

WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan has begun taking shots at Timothy Bradley. Khan, via his twitter account, challenged WBO champion Bradley to a unification bout. Khan said that he plans to speak to Golden Boy Promotions about fighting Bradley. He wants to see if Bradley was serious about the challenge that he made on Saturday night in the aftermath of winning a unanimous decision over Carlos Abregu. Bradley made his welterweight debut in the Abgreu bout.
"I'm fighting Timothy Bradley next. I'm going [to] tell Golden Boy. Let's see if they want it for real. Talk is cheap. I'll fight Tim Bradley, it's the first time he has called me out. I'm going Vegas and [I'll] talk to Golden Boy. I wuld love the fight, good style for me. By the way, clever way to avoid the best [at] 140-pounds by moving up," Khan said.
OH THE IRONY.

Gotta love Khan.
As thick as what you think he is - he always seems to do or say something that makes you have to re-evalute his level of idiocy..
The move to GBP seems to be proving less than expected. Not only does British fight fans think he is a fragile-chinned hype-job. But now, even the Americans seem to have seen through him.
fWank is telling us at every oppurtunity that Khan is earning much less now than what he was previously.
So Khan reverts to type and does his usual big talk. We have heard this talk of him fighting the best since he 1st went pro - and at every oppurtunity he has avoided the fight.

Re: Big Amir Khan News..
Lol, take it Bradley is waving good bye to light welter. The guys body fat % looks ridiculously low.
Re: Big Amir Khan News..
hes also said he wants to fight pac so not everything said happens
Re: Big Amir Khan News..
I give Khan the benefit of doubt - he really is stupid enough to believe he could beat Pacman or Tim Bradley.
But the people around him certainly don't. Both guys muller Khan.

Re: Big Amir Khan News..
every fighter has to have his route plotted, to get to the top. and then a plan, to keep him in the title.
we've seen khan from the very beginning so we know all about him and his taste for super featherweights and now apparently lightweights (didn't he recently want casamayor, katsidis and marquez?). you'd think next for khan would be something like victor ortiz, whom the yanks have been plugging and pushing and then desperately trying to rehabilitate.
no doubt tim bradley doesn't relish the idea of fighting slick southpaw devon alexander, a guy who proved he can punch also. bradley has had to take some fairly tough (if hardly awe inspiring) fights to get his TV dates, such as holt, campbell, and so on. it may be better for bradley to move up and fight andre berto, a welterweight title holder.
i'm sure there are fights that devon alexander won't want either. he does seem to want braldey but there will be fights that he will be strategically moved away from, also.
each man will only take the fight when it suits them and their management. it's not going to be like rafael marquez v israel vazquez where they just go for it, in a fight that proves the best at the weight.
bradley wants khan. khan probably wants a name lightweight (but calls out bradley AFTER he's fought at welterweight). alexander wants bradley. big fvcking deal.
i don't buy for a second that light welterweight is a great division. but i would love to see bradley v berto up at 147. if they fought each other there would be mayhem in the ring. also it would stop either man hogging so many TV dates on HBO: berto-quintana and bradley-abregu were hardly headline-worthy, although both were part of double-headers.

Re: Big Amir Khan News..
good post autobarn.
I kinda agree with most of it.
Bradley has continually impressed me ever since he demolished Witter. Demolish he did!
Lets not forget how avoided and highly thought of Witter was before the fight ...so for that reason, I just don't see Bradley fearing any guy at his weight.
For me. Bradley shows his worth by fighting an unbeaten heavier guy ..that can punch...instead of looking to the lower weights for a washed up name to mark time.

indeed, its quite some achievement for Amir to constantly lower our opinions of his intelligence in this way.tonyevs wrote:Gotta love Khan.

you get to the point where you've gone below plankton and protozoa, and you're thinking, exactly what is the least intelligent life-form on earth, that i can fruitfully compare Amir to?
the days where I would pay him the complement of saying he's about as thick as pigshite are long gone.

I'll believe it when I see them on the scales.

Re: Big Amir Khan News..
Khan would build up a early lead - but Bradely would wear him down the strecth and stop him in 8 rounds.
Good luck to Khan for taking the fight - losing is no disgrace - if your willing to put yourself on the line against the best.
After all - who wants a long unbeaten record - mollycoddled fighter who has fought no-one of note.
Boring boring - Sports Network have been doing that for years - and its plain boring.
