Declan Trainor v Jamie Bogavic on the Zappavigna undercard

Post by slapbangwhallop »

This is the guy I was talking about earlier in the week. Pretty tough guy to put someone in with on their debut in my opinion.

Can you tell me anything about Bogavic?

Is Zappa defending his IBO world title?? or did he vacate it after it?

I thought the IBO would have ordered a rematch as it was a rough decision for the other bloke.

It is a ten round fight, so it is not a world title fight, just a stay busy fight.

The fight was in Angulo's backyard, it was a unanimous decision with two judges giving a wide margin. How was Angulo hard done by?

It was Lennys toughest fight, and those who have been waiting for him to fall flat on his face ramp it up as a gimme, i saw the fight on TV( no internet) and it's no secret that i'm a follower, but it was a close fight, and 2 of those judges got it wrong, IMO 115-113 for Lenny who dominated the first 5 rounds until severelly getting cut up and did lose about 4 straight rounds convincingly. I can understand people thinking it went the other way but it's no gift.

I dont know about u mate but I saw the fight. It was a good fight and I am a Zappa fan. As far as I am concerned it was a draw at best. I cannot see how he won more than 6 rds.
