Does have a good look about him, but falls in between lt heavy and cruiser. Boxed Friday and handled Hastings Rasani very well. He looks very quick and aggressive when pushed, but falls into lulls where he poses a little and doesn't do a lot. Has a quick jab but looks a bit small for cruiser?? What was his amateur record?? What weight was he then?

I've not seen him but how's Peter Till getting on? He knew his way around; looked like a 70's porn star as well with the tash! :)

Peter is bitter because of Ron Gray pulling the plug on his British title crack at Steve Boyle at the Walsall football stadium in the scorching hot summer of 1989 due to poor advanced ticket sales. Peter really fancied the job and was flattening southpaws left right and centre in sparring. He never really got over it and does a lot of work as a DJ in and around Bloxwich. Tilly lacked stamina but for a few rounds he was sharp. His fight with Michael Ayers at White Hart Lane is a classic.

Thanks for that Bennie :) It's a shame that he's still upset after 20 odd years. He was a very neat and tidy boxer. His left hand knew what the right was doing. Glad he's doing ok though; I used to enjoy watching him box.

When Tilly knocked out Michael Marsden on the Tate-Sibson show in Stafford in 1988, Michael Buffer announced the winner as Marsden, which Peter found hughly amusing, along with the rest of the crowd.
The howls of laughter triggered Buffer's speedy correction.

Heard promising things about him. If his next fight is in Belfast then I'll let you know what I think! As of yet, not seen him in action.

Saw a couple of his televised am fights and he looked a handful with good power.

Don't know if he is big enough for cruiser or heavy? What weight class he settles into could dictate how far he goes in the pros.. Look forward to following his progress as a pro.

Always good to see a Black Country banger enter the pro ranks :TU:

McGuigan seems to be selecting pretty decent fighters.Chris, Carl Frampton, Troy James. All fighters that put on a show.
