George Foreman Is Overrated
What is that klutz's claim to fame? Cheating his way to a victory over a shot Joe Frazier or beating a bunch of tomato cans during his infamous second act. To steal a line he can't carry the great Jimmy Young's jockstrap.
Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
WTF!!! george foreman is one of my all time fav heavyweights....getting hit by this guy was like getting hit by a bus! and didnt holyfield say "nobody has ever hit me as hard as foreman"? and that was fat bald in his 40's foreman!! and how the hell did he cheat against frazier?? by beating him to a pulp? its called boxing thats what your supposed to do! he knocked moorer the fornicate out at age 45!!!GranberryReturns wrote:What is that klutz's claim to fame? Yep. Michael Moorer was a bum! His only great win was against Frazier and that was it.

Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
You are a moron. Michael Moorer is one of the top 5 to 10 light heavyweights of all-time. Also if you think Foreman's wins against Norton and Lyle weren't great wins then you know nothing about either fighter. He also gave a prime undefeated Holyfield all he could handle for 12 rounds and I don't care what the scorecards read he beat a prime Briggs as well.lucaselrey wrote:Yep. Michael Moorer was a bum! I wonder if the people who say things like this have ever actually watched any of these fights.

Well i had no idea we were talking about the light heavy division genius! we were talking about when they fought. Moorer was a good light heavy but a bum Heavyweight.

Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Ha a prime Briggs! he is a looser u moron! who did he ever beat? Norton got slaughtered by Cooney a BUM! and who did Lyle ever beat? U must be an MMA fan because u know nothing about boxing.
Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Yeah, a bum who was the linear undisputed heavyweight champion after beating a prime Holyfield. So if he is a bum, then what does that make the guy he beat to win the title? Holyfield must be an amateur in your eyes.lucaselrey wrote:Well i had no idea we were talking about the light heavy division genius! we were talking about when they fought. Zero respect for great fighters around here. You must be a teenager who has never actually seen Moorer fight. At his best he would give just about anyone a decent fight at heavyweight. The guy who beat Holyfield could have beat many of the top 50 all-time heavyweights that night. A "bum" he was not.
Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Just stop talking. In 5 minutes you called Moorer, Briggs, and Foreman all bums. You really need to start watching boxing. Youtube could catch you up very well. Calling 3 linear heavyweight champions bums is quite possibly the most retarded thing I have read on here outside of anything Granberry says. Of course it is entirely possible you are Granberry under yet another name because you seem like just big enough of a loser to fit that bill.lucaselrey wrote:Ha a prime Briggs! he is a looser u moron! who did he ever beat? and what the hell is granberry?
Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Do you understand the irony of calling someone a dumb as$ and then spelling it wrong? Your lack of any sort of boxing knowledge and/or intelligence is boring me. You will fit in well around here though. There are several posters who will just own your as$ on here.lucaselrey wrote:yep bums all around. Foreman beat one maybe two elite fighters. Go get him Demps, Irene, and Mugabi. I am bored with anyone who's only argument is that every fighter in history is a "bum".

Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Saying that Moorer was a great HW is the same thing as saying Hasim Rahman was a great HW. the two of them have almost carbon copy careers. They both beat an elite HW champion and then got knocked the F&*k out in there very next fight Moorer by Old Foreman and Rahman by Lennox Lewis in the rematch! Then Moorer beat Alex Schulz for a vacant belt (yet another bum) and defends it twice against chumps in Botha (who Tyson, Lewis and Holyfield knocked out) and then against Vaughn Bean WOW! great fighter! then lost to Holyfield n the rematch! and since has lost to Tua and Castillo! WHAT A GREATTTTT HW! Rahman was given the title when Klitschko retired for a Christmas present. Doesn't succesfully defend it at all and gets knocked out by Maskaev! and just like Moorer he lost to all the elite fighters, losing to Tua, Klitschko, Toney even to JOHN RUIZ!.......so both beat ONE elite fighter then lost to nothing but elite fighters and bums.......so if Moorer is great so is Rahman and i doubt u think Rahman is great..Ur a moron! i win!jrc26 wrote:Yeah, a bum who was the linear undisputed heavyweight champion after beating a prime Holyfield. This place is getting worse...
Not to long ago there was a thread that said Marciano was overrated.
Recently, there was another thread that said Frazier was overrated.
And now, Foreman?

Marciano was not overrated he fought the best at the time n the HW division, they might not have been some of the greatest in boxing history but they were the best at the time. not his fault.
Frazier hell no!
Foreman sorry but he was overrated. Take away his power and he was nothing.
Re: George Foreman Is Overrated
Listen to yourself, You say take away his power and he was nothing. Well that may be, but he just so happened to be one of the most powerful S.O.B.'s in the history of boxing. Old Foreman had a great Boxing I.Q. in my opinion also, and he always had a pretty good jab at any point in his career.lucaselrey wrote:Crease wrote:This place is getting worse...

My advice is to follow my lead & put Lucas on Ignore.
He tipped his hand in the first fifteen seconds her was here, & nothing has registered with me since

He had one really good win at HW and it was against Moorer who was a chump so obviously he didn't have to much IQgilgamesh wrote:Listen to yourself, You say take away his power and he was nothing. How can his only good win if it was against a chump? You contradict yourself in just about everything you say. You made an entire post about how Moorer is a bum, but yet it was Foreman's only good win?lucaselrey wrote:He had one really good win at HW and it was against Moorer who was a chump so obviously he didn't have to much IQgilgamesh wrote:Listen to yourself, You say take away his power and he was nothing. Then Frazier is not overrated according to you, but Foreman beat his brains out twice, and those weren't good wins?
Oh, and Lyle and Norton weren't exactly bums or chumps either, as you like to label pretty much every fighter who isn't on your expert list of the only 5 good fighters in boxing history.
