What exactly happend to him in the Olympics? Who beat him. I was MIGHTY impressed with him on the Barrera undercard. The experts said his style didn't suit the Amateur -and while they might have a point, talent like that should still to well. The guy was lightening and could hit like a sledgehammer.
I haven't been as excited (and I am possibly more with Escobedo) since I saw a young Miguel Cotto on the Roy Jones Jnr vs Julio Gonzales undercard and the last time I saw a prospect as good as Cotto was when I saw Lennox Lewis just prior to him winning the European belt.
This kid has got huge future and world champion written all over him.
Vicente Escobedo
That is shocking, anyone know/remember how this faired with Khan or Kindelan.Kevin wrote:Rovshan Huseynov AZE DEF Vicente Escobedo USA (Points 36-18)

Who did Huseynov fight.
That Escobedo looked superb to me, I was mightly impressed with Khan's speed in the Olympics - but Escobedo looked as fast (with his hands) last night.
