On the White collar issue it is my view that the rules and regulations of amateur & pro boxing that, when coupled with competitive bouts, make it the best sport in the world. Compromise these and you just have a scrap, which for me personally holds no appeal.

It's not been the best 18 months for sport in the north east. Newcastle and Middlesbrough relegated from the Premiership, Darlington relegated out of the football league altogether, Sunderland and Hartlepool struggling . . .

I'll tuning in tonight to see if Hall, Jefferies et al can give us all something to cheer about for a change.

My job as a promoter of a fighter is obviously to raise the profile of a fighter and to speak positive of him, I do believe that Tony Jeffries has the potential to go a long way in the boxing world.
