Well, I suppose if he's a few pegs behind the other team members then that's his only chance to compete.

That said, surname alone shouldn't be a factor on selection, only ability. Others should be afforded the shirt if they are superior.

Thats unless the switch to the pakistan team is a cagey first move by khan to break into the highly lucrative pakistani pro boxing market.

That's true, I don't get this attitude at all, Britain is made up of so many different cultures so what is a proper Brit anyway? Someone who refuses to acknowledge their roots in case some ignorant tossers take offense? They dropped a weight to get women in without increasing overall number of boxers.
