Re: Hall vs power round by round
I agree, it could definitely be closer than what I have, but I feel Hall just edged out the last few.Srebmun wrote:The last few could be argued either way.crusader wrote:88-84 Hall

Power caught right on the chin, head rocks back, and he turns away.

Super slow-mo on HD is incredible, really shows the casual viewer what 'actually' goes on in a fight.

Re: Hall vs power round by round
Green is a terrible ref. He got caught, but the last punch was on the back of Power's head.
He should have intervened as Power had turned round and let them box on.

Re: Hall vs power round by round
I disagree. I felt as if Power partially turned away because the force of the shot moved his body, not because he was badly hurt or wanted out. The ref should have at least given it a few more seconds to see if Power was truly out of it. He was still fighting hard and it is not like he was taking a horrific beating. It was premature, in my opinion.whicker wrote:Power caught right on the chin, head rocks back, and he turns away.

Edit: because I bet under, I mean.
Re: Hall vs power round by round
Thing is, Power is not facing his opponent, and is still on his feet. What else can a ref do? Can't give standing 8 counts, and equally, we can't expect Hall to lay off- a mistake Rogan made- and this is literally a split second decision.crusader wrote:I disagree. Re: Hall vs power round by round
We can't expect Hall to lay off, but I think the referee should have let it go for a bit longer. If Hall continued to pound him and Power was not responding, than obviously the fight should be stopped at that point.
