On a lighter note,Has anyone seen facing Ali?
Thought i'd lighten the tention about oz boxing right now,"Facing Ali"a great movie I just had the pleasure to watch, putting a different light on some of the superfights ali had,and hearing accusations of ali's somewhat underhanded tactics from his opposition. Not just another gorlyfied ali movie.Anyone catch the film?

Great doco. Well worth a watch for anyone who hasnt seen it. Loved Chuvalo's account of fighting Ali.

Is it based on the book of the same name? I thought that was a good read...

Really a book, what a read!chuvalo's accounts were to say the least heartbreaking especially the family orientated events. What an underworld even to get him there! and then to say ali wasn't the same fighter in later events was astounding.Out of the entire movie I enjoyed his accounts the mostMarlin wrote:Is it based on the book of the same name? ^^he seemed like a reall character. Loved his account of the post fight happenings where he said Ali went to hospital pissing blood and he went..la la la..dancing with his wife(with a very content llook on his face.)
also liked the cooments Ali made about Cooper sparking him. Cant quote it exactly but..it was very Aliesque but in a good way.Shit That cuut was BAAAAAAAAAAAD.
Doco had some very sad moments. Frasiers accouunts of being called an Uuncle Tom(which clealry hurt him) and the really sad side of boxing seeing some of the old warriors speech/mental capacity diminished. In this day and age of superficialism, political correctness and bollocks in general i felt this doco was straight from the heart and totally honest. I think ANY sport fan would find it enlightening and entertaining. And a bit emotional. A testament to some vbery genuine and great men who deserve so much respect and as sportsmen...i can use no other word but worship.
I will watch it again soon.NO- i will purchase it.really awesome stuff. Best sports doco EVER IMO. Glad u posted it rhino.
