Young Mutley vs Oscar Hall
Young Mutley vs Oscar Hall
Is this fight still scheduled for Thursday in Dudley? Some sites say it is, other say it is not?
Good little contest this one, although I think Mutley should have too much for Hall at this stage of their careers. I think its time Mutley started to really pick it up now.

I've just spoken to a stablemate of Hall's who says it's on as far as he knows.stujones wrote:Is this fight still scheduled for Thursday in Dudley? Some sites say it is, other say it is not?

Stu - do you know where Thomas Damgaard is ranked with any of the world bodies at welter? I had a look but couldn't find him. He's got a good record and it isn't as padded as many are - some good names.
Many thanks to the Welsh Statto!stujones wrote:He's the WBA's number 1 contendor. That is probably the reason why he isn't ranked with anyone else. I know his mandatory challenge to the WBA "normal" champion (which is now Luis Collazo) is way overdue. He has been scheduled to fight then champion Cosmo Riveria at least 3 times in the last year.

I'm going up to Dudley to watch this one on Thursday, last time I saw Muttley was when he beat Adam Zadworny back in March 2002 at the Elephant and Castle, even though he broke his own jaw in the fight, he certainly looks a good prospectstujones wrote:Is this fight still scheduled for Thursday in Dudley? Looking at Muttley's record on boxrec I noticed he was managed by Mike Shinfield - who obviously found success with the Booth bros. I clicked on his name to see what others he managed and noticed an unbeaten featherweight called Rendall Munroe. Has anyone seen this guy? Does he look a good prospect?
The reason I'm interested is because I think a good southpaw would be very welcome in the domestic mix. There is only really a few hovering around the bottom of the top ten, some below. Mickey Coveney lost a close one to Rocky Dean, so I'm assuming he's on the same level as Rocky (who I last saw get blasted out by Hunter). Then there's Scott Flynn - who has done well to get a win streak going after a tough debut, but I just get the feeling he is going to struggle as he climbs the domestic tree.
Flynn and Dean could well prove me wrong and shoot to the top of the domestic scene - I would actually be happy to be proved wrong - but this Munroe fella looks maybe the better prospect. I know it looks like he has no power, but his last two opponents had winning records and I'd be willing to bet the last three came to fight.
