If it was some kind of trumped up title fight (Barker v Belgacham for example) then fair enough, its not. Its a quick "stay busy" that will get him massive coverage in the US whilst he waits for something "real" to come along and hopefully make him look good against an ageing fighter with a positive record and high knockout rate.
He has recently been let down on fighting Gevor, Barker and Sturm - what is he supposed to do? Stay at home wánking himself off to the latest Nuts magazine?
Has this the potential to turn into Thiam MkII - yes but I see negatives but as well as the positives - its called balance.
