Yep sorry about that!I noticed after i had posted what i had done and was expecting a little ticking off!Ha ;;-)
Re: Sergio Martinez vs Andre Berto at 154lbs
because they're with the same promoter they WON'T fight.
dibella can have champs at 2 weights. why lose one?
berto isn't a top flight fighter, but it seems dibella has delivered for berto - isn't there a fight with mosley upcoming?
sadly, there still isn't an opponent for martinez. angulo was mentioned, a great fight for martinez, but HBO are apparently pushing for martinez-williams 2.
even more sad, when HBO put up with rubbish like berto v urango, putting up with berto ducking a rematch with collazo, a fight that was in demand at one point.

Great post by Wolverine Boots. It's exactly what I was thinking with regards to this potential match up.

Well i can see where you're coming from regarding that Autobarn,i suppose i was looking at it along the same lines as what Arum does with his fighters like Pacquaio vs cotto, etc but i guess its a little different as Arum is a more powerful affluent promoter than Lou is.
Re: Sergio Martinez vs Andre Berto at 154lbs
yeah they seem to be very different promoters. arum seems to have shut up shop since the recession and since the fued with golden boy over pac ended in his favour.lefty wrote:Well i can see where you're coming from regarding that Autobarn,i suppose i was looking at it along the same lines as what Arum does with his fighters like Pacquaio vs cotto, etc but i guess its a little different as Arum is a more powerful affluent promoter than Lou is.
another difference between dibella and arum would be their attitude to TV. dibella has been accused of a guy who simply mediates between his fighter and HBO, whereas arum's supporters usually brag about his willingness to go ahead without HBO or showtime (eg his wretched latin fury and pinoy power PPVs).
one adv of arum's attitude is that we will get a great matchup, montiel v donaire, in november. (nonetheless, montiel wouldn't be a unified bantamweight champ, if arum had been his sole promoter - he'd never have gone to japan and KO'd hasegawa.) obviously arum pisses many offas he will only match pac with top rank fighters.
Re: Sergio Martinez vs Andre Berto at 154lbs
Martinez would make him look silly if this happened. Not only would Berto be moving up in weight, which would likely make him slower, but he would also be on the end of Martinez's slick counterpunching all night long. Martinez wide UD for me.
