is mitchell still ranked ahead of murray in the boxing monthly domestic ratings?
Since when? Are you speaking for all boxing fans or just the strange characters who inhabit Autobarn world and whisper to you in your sleep ...... Ya Mug!
since katsidis mugged him on the ropes
and until mitchell comes up with another big win
i'm sure murray wanted mitchell before mitchell was stopped early by katsidis in a world title elim. but what is there in it for the manchester fighter now? nowhere near as much.
so do you think murray should have katsidis' leftovers?

'Barn I always respect what you've got a say, but surely even you can see that you've missed the point here i.e. you can't say "no-one cares" when in fact you appear to be the lone voice on this forum not interested in seeing it. You can say you don't care, but to say no-one cares is clearly ridiculous as you haven't been able to find a single supporting voice, which on a forum like this is a rarity indeed. That surely tells you something.
but it does not seem to be the right time for this fight.
also, message boarders aren't always the ppl who buy the tickets although they are often seemingly subscribers to channels like sky sports, admittedly.

I'm not disputing any of that, but that doesn't change my point - you're a lone voice on this one as things stand, so can't speak in the plural as if you're acting for a silent majority.
Anyway, let's see how it plays from here for both fighters and their paths may end up crossing at the right juncture as far as both are concerned
Deserter you're a gent; quite old-school the way you try to passively educate an obiviously blinkered, small minded opinionated fool. Unfortunately; i fear this is a sign of the times. If the lunatics have not yet taken over the asylum, they have overpowered the guards and are securing the area!

right jncture is the key. even if everyone truly did want it, it would be a bad idea to put mitchell, coming off a KO, in with murray, who'd be in his face all night.

right, i'm a lunatic and a fool, because i'm against a fight that has no chance of happening at the moment. mitchell might be a good boxer but he isn't exactly hot after folding vs katsidis.

Er....no; its because you try to dress up your bias twaddle as some kind of intelligent and valued opinion; shared by your peers
When in reality it is; for the most part self-opinionated dross peppered with the occasional clumsy personal attack....I rest my case.
P.S. ....Of course; that is just my opinion, i just call 'em as i see 'em.
this is when boxrec gets dragged down, when we start talking about each other rather than the fighters and the fights. the personal attacks are from you to me. not from me to mitchell. i'm a murray fan, i make no secret of it. i won't say i was glad when mitchell was demolished. but it did sort of help back up my opinions that - as brave as he is - he is not this classy brilliant world class boxer that ppl say he is. you're obviously a mitchell fan, and as such you are being defensive about him.
believe it or not i used to think murray v mitchell would have been a great idea - that even at 130 mitchell was a natural 135 and with their styles and temperaments would feature in a tremendous battle (with murray stopping him mid-to-late). but if mitchell had beaten katsidis, he wouldn't have given murray a chance (in all likeliness) because it's a needless risk. now that mitchell has lost, and in the manner he has lost, he offers nothing (that i can see) to advance john murray's career.
we all like british rivalries like haye v mac but that fight couldn't happen until 3 world titles between two fighters were on the line.
