Ashley Theophane against the uk top Lightwelterweights
and welterweights, How does he match up against the likes of kell brook, michael jenning's, paul mccloskey, mathew hatton, lenny daws and frankie gavin?
Re: Ashley Theophane against the uk top Lightwelterweights
Theophane would give most of them a run for their money. He is quite underated and seems to go under the radar (perhaps because he has all his big fights outside the U.K.), but he is clearly a good fighter. Even in his last two defeats, against solid opponents, Theophane more than held his own. I thought he lost last night, but he still showed enough to convince me he could be a player in the UK scene. Not sure about who wins in head to head matches, but I think he could provide all those names with a lot of trouble.

He's good os Theophane, not amazing but a good fringe world class- I'd like him to fight matty Hatton that would make a bit of sense.

He's a good fighter although I had him losing that fight the other night. I watched it back yesterday and can't see how he got that decision....

imo He would get stop by all, if not he'd be highly out classed... Nothing against him at all, his slow pace is suited boxing over in the U.S.
Done great for him self going over there winning fights.....

i thought he was lucky to get a split dec with garcia and even luckier to get the win against rodriguez would be a great scalp for frankie gavin

He'd be in the mix with Brook, Jennings etc were he here.
