Trevor King is an interesting man. A hard case who turned religious.

There was a story years ago of Trevor in his Salvation Army uniform knocking out two thugs who were beating up a derelict. :box:

yes that,s true, and it is hard to understand a fighter with his record not getting a shot at an aussie title , he beat bennett in non=title fights ,won 63 out of 64,all the best

Hector fought Roberto Duran and Antonio Cervantes. He did not beat them, but he gave a good account of himself in both fights. He also beat Alfonso Frazier, who had beaten Loche for the Light Welterweight title two years before. Good boxer.

Great night out didn't know how many good boxers came out of newcastle, some very impressive records aswell, most way before my time but still enjoyed their accomplishments, think there was about 5 former aussie champs in various devisions, thompsons accounts of his title shots were gracious, informative and even hillarious at times.Met one of his sons, who was also good company.Daniel arman also a good bloke who's up for a laugh.Vintage tony mundeen footage was impressive, what a workrate probably half the reason he got dropped in the 7th I think. All in all had a good night.
