How soon should Greens next oponent be?

Post by Hounddawg »

Given that Danny hasn't broke sweat in his last 3 fights when should his next fight be scheduled?

Given that his hardest fight since his return was against Dominguez in that 1 sided demolition, who should the next opponent be?

I wouldn't call the Dominguez fight a one-sided demolition - I actually gave Dominguez the first round, although I'll agree that by the third round it was clear there was only going to be one result.

Personally I would like to see Green fight in September, then in December. If he waits until December I will be disappointed, unless it is against a legit top 5 cruiserweight, or at light heavy against Dawson.

I was hoping he would fight for free on a thursday card as well.....maybe against Cameron if they think this fight has to happen.

If not it better be against a top 10 opponent.

Yep, he has said that he is going to give back to his fans and that would be a great start. For a "free" fight in September Cameron would be an "ok" opponent. Then line something massive up for December.

Green needs to fight by September and needs to fight someone who is not a "headline grabber" eg. Jones and Briggs ilk but someone who an honest durable journeyman and is prepared to go to take the fight. Green badly needs ring time and not gym time.

A decent fight outing on say Fox against suitable opposition will improve his reputation (and the sports') and then he can move on with his PPV adventures. Green Promotions owes us, the fans, at least that.
